I already gave a few wishes for the upcoming season throught the LERSOC forums as far as safety, course design, and timing were concerned. I dunno if I'll be at the first event/meeting, but I'll try to make it.

Beaverun video

Went to Beaverun just north of Pittsburgh for a RallyX. Too muddy for the regular course(s)! so it was contested on a gravel lot and pavement that got more gravel on it as the day went on. Lots of fun, a super-accomodating host (thanks Danny) and a fun group. I took a few laps of the North course but the camera didn't get turned on somehow. I have a couple runs on line:

It was a hell of a lot of fun. It was low-traction - not like an autocross at all. It was slippery gravel for half of the turns and the rest was pavement that was slickened over by mud. Really, the pavement was even more slippery than the gravel. The course was awesome, it was easy to link the turns together - flicking the car back and forth. The only bad thing I'll say is that the layout of the cones was WAY too confusing. Many people were still going off-course even in the afternoon session.

Yes, that was me, the car had stock struts 'cause mine are out for rebuilding.
Pretty much a stock 2.5RS really, no tricks - just a cheap way to build one with a 2wd chassis and a wrecked '01 RS drivetrain.
