to Shave?, or not to Shave?

Lots of ppl like to shave the big ugly S U B A R U off the back of their cars. (ppl with 06's wont have this problem lol). I want to shave mine off to and will mostlikely do it. Have all of you shaved ur scoobys? did u shave everything or just the SUBARU?

i like the no bagdes what-so-ever look. then take out the key hole and get it filled in. that looks so good. :)

i wouldn't say you had to shave the letters.. just get a hair dryer, some fishing line, and goo gone.. the letters are sticky and just peel off. Be careful doing it... don't want to chip some paint off. I just wanted to clarify "shaving", which usually means filling a hole of some sort with some type of filler and having it repainted.

I actually debadged just the WRX and STi, leaving the SUBARU. Looks really nice and clean to me.

If one wanted the badges back on after one shaved how would one go about doing that? super glue?

Probably the best way would be to buy the badge again.
But you could get some 3M double-sided tape (the strong automotive stuff), peel off the old double-sided tape, put the new tape on, trim it to fit, and then stick the letters back on. So buying the badge again would probably be easier.
I removed the "S U B A R U" a while ago and never looked back. Also removed the pillar from the grille.

The only thing left on the back of my car is "WRX," but I'm considering shaving that too and putting the small "Impreza" bar back in its place. :)

I took off the S U B A R U when I first got the car, left everything else. It looks great.. I did what Flat4inRC said except i used floss instead of fishing line.
Do it,it look much cleaner

If Subaru keeps up with this ugly car design trend, I'm going to have to remove all the Subaru decals.

Mine is debadged, however I prefer the badging, anyone want to sell their's? I drive a 99RS in case the letters are different sizes???? I also live in Canada...

I removed the emblems as well as all the of the stickers. Only thing remaining is the STi emblem on the grill. That will go soon. Dental floss, then detail spray with a microfiber cloth to get the goo off.

On my WRX 2005 (American car) I don't have the Subaru badge in the back, came stock without it.

shaving the trunk = no key hole
debadging the trunk = no badges, still key hole
fuggit and do both.
