Shaved corner lights on bugeyes?

Anybody have a few pics of a bugeye with shaved amber fender lights? im painting on friday (painting at cost at work with insurance's money > * :p)and i think i may do this while im at it. afraid it may end up looking bare though.... opinions? ive seent he silver wagon, but not many others....

I painted the lenses the same color as my car but if I was repainting the car I would defiantly shave them.

im deciding between getting an extra set of lights and painting those so i can switch between...
i also plan on eventually (if not now) adding jdm sidemarkers...

make sure you get JDM sidemarkers for that extra JDM flava:D
i have the JDM clear/white markers and they match pretty well.

got my front and sides(four pieces) on ebay from someone who bought them and decided he didn't want them.
$120 new
$50 shipped on ebay. couldn't pass it up.
subydude used to sell the amber for 40... i sometimes wish i'd done that. haven't seen them anywhere else for 40 though.

Hank im totally obsessed with your car, even more so now with the prodrive lip. on a related note, what bulbs did you say you're using in your fogs?... i really like the yellow.

They're PIAA Ion Yellows. But I think I'm gonna go with either the Narva Golds, Osram All-Weather bulbs, or Hella Yellowstars next. They are all a bit cheaper than the PIAAs and will emit a solid yellow light. The PIAAs do look nice - they also change colors somewhat (yellow, green, pink, blue) to others on the road.

I got a quote for $300/side to shave the cornermarkers and then paint. Seemed a little much to me, but I really would like to do it.

If you have ever worked with bondo or other "plastics" it would not be too hard to do the fill and prep. Then just have them spray it. It would cost like $70-150.

plastic body filler is only the tip of the iceberg. the holes need to be plugged first, in this case paint needs to be grinded off the fender, then have an aluminum or other metal sheet welded to the fender, then filled, sanded and generally, a full blend would be needed to match correctly, unless the car is brand new or just meticulously maintained. im painting the front as is, so im thinking this could be a cool mod to do while im at it.

That is true, and it would be the "right" way to do it. With body work there is so many ways to do things, some work will look great and last a life time, while others look good but only last a few seasons untill it cracks or chips.
