Went stage to like 2 weeks ago and since then ive had mad carbon build up on the bumper I clean it whenever I can but it builds up crazy. maybe claybar the bumper, and get the kartboy longer exhaust hangers that way the exhaust fumes kind of "clear" the bumper..hope that helps you out..

^ yeh clean it up real good first then i suggest you get those protectors that u bolt on there or soemthing so it covers it up + protect your bumper :disco: .. they sell them on mostly every subie performance site

yeah ive been looking for protectors. I think im going go grab hangers tomorrow n install em over the weekend. I think Mach V has the protectors.. but i don't feel like driving that far lol

Do longer hangars really help? I was thinking of getting this exhaust but i dont really like the idea of a black bumper.

I sure hope they due .. i need a solution quick before my bumper turns green 8/

I still tink u sould slap a socker on there lol. Id prolly be permanent though seeing everything around it would green except the sticker area:disco:.
Ill look for my claybar for ya

Here's a ghetto thought...
Go buy a funnel, and cut it in half. Then cut it so there is only like .5" of the thing there and tape it to your tip? Cheap ghetto diffuser till u can buy a nice one!

or just put a cat back in

I'm running catless without a problem and my tip is about the same length. Weird! Anyway, if I had your problem i'd be looking into one of those carbon fiber protectors that bolts onto the bumper just above the exhaust tip.

don't go catless or quit whining
| IIdiceII | 01-12-2007 02:39 AM |
probably running rich as hell...maybe get a protector and a protune...
| wrxzboost | 01-12-2007 02:45 AM |
strange...i'm catless with a fart can like that and have never seen a spec of carbon build up on my rear. maybe its the blitz exhaust?
i hope you don't have a bov...:(

I have the catless Blitz setup and the same thing happens. Thing is I run the silencer most of the time for the highway drone but it also keeps the carbon build up off the bumper.
| KIMUTAKU | 01-12-2007 04:20 AM |
yea i run a fartcan too and never have any carbon build up either..
i always wonder how rich these people are running.. lol..

i dont know why everyone says bad stuff about bovs.. i ran one with a short ram, cat back and just an hks bov un tuned and did not have one problem... my buddy matt did the same thing... so i dont know why everyone has bad stuff to say about them... or is it just a problem with wrx's not sti's?
