I totally understand! I think we have the same exact problem......I'm interested in the Greddy Lip tho since I already have side skits....plus much more cheaper then a full body kit and u know thats always good! But if you wanted a body kit I really like C-West, and the carbon fiber hood...I WANT ONE!!! I know the CF hood weighs like 45lbs n e one know how much the stock hood weighs?
garface 11-28-2002 03:19 AM

That Veilside cl kit is terrible. The front bumper belongs on an Accord, unpainted, and badly cracked, with carpenter screws holding it on.
A decent cf hood should weigh under 20lbs. A real cf hood should weigh around 10 or less. ;)

my CF hood weighs about 14lbs without vents, scoop, and hardware

DayuM!! I need to get me one of those, anyone know where to get one for cheap??
Ikonosin 11-28-2002 08:21 PM

Greddy lip, painted sideskirts, V6 spoiler

Next is CF hood and some sort of Rear bumper treatment....:)
mykrrrr 11-29-2002 03:45 PM

Ikonosin - Great looking car. :D I'm liking the GReddy lip more and more. I'd say you need an STi V5/6 grille to complete the look. :)

The only other things I want for the exterior of my car is a V5. wing and rear spats.

Here's a pic of my car "sleepy."

cheers!

Ikonosin,

Word has it that you painted your grill with Plasti-Kote. What is the code and where do you buy that stuff from?

Sure did. I used Plasti-Kote primer first, followed by several coats of "Import Color Subaru 5604" and then "Clear 5201". I purchased all 3 from my local G.I. Joes (sporting goods/automotive store). It's only like $3-4 per can, so it's pretty cheap. I wasn't that good at it, so the first time I did it, it had runs, so I redid it. :D

did you paint everything with that? or just the grill? any closer up shots?
auricom 12-01-2002 03:57 PM

eyelids make our cars look stoned. i'm slowly adding the STI ver 6 parts, lip, painted skirts and rear spats. nice, clean look.

I painted my grill, badge and eyelids this way. I thought about doing my sideskirts, but was sending my lip out to be painted anyhow, so threw them in as well.

Here are some closer pics of the grill:

Eyelids make almost every car look stoned. I saw a Beetle with lids last night, that was a good laugh.

no offense to anyone here but i just don't get the concept behind them. i was offered a free pair one time but quickly turned them down. should have took them to sell on ebay.

Bomex requires front bumper support modification though. Be different from everyone else on this board! Everyone has the damn greddy lip =P
Ikonosin 12-01-2002 04:45 PM

If I could afford the Do-Luck kit, that's where I'd spend my money....I love the whole kit (even the wing):D

With that huge opening you need a front intercooler, or it would look kinda lame.
