Carbon Fiber Gear
We are currently in the process of starting up a shop in south-western Pa, specializing in Carbon Fiber, Carbon/Kevlar. Kevlar, and Fiberglass. The name of the shop is Kasper Composites, which will be running at full production by late January to early February.
So this is what I wish to ask you, the follower of the Scobbies, what would you like to see. As far, as pieces go, we have recieved a great deal of interst from the Rally Scene in the area so we will offer the kevlar, C/F,and C/K hood and front fenders (widened and O.E.M) for both the WRX and the 2.5 R.S.. There is also the potential to see a pin on as well as an o.e.m. fit and mount trunk lid. There is also plans to do some interior pieces as well as guage clusters.

I'm more of an interior person, not liking the ostentatious (or flamey) body kits I've seen on the road. So, what I ask is for pretty much any interior accessory that would look nice on the inside, i.e. molded c/f shift knobs? I don't know... I'm not very good at this... hmm....
I'm out of ideas. Could you make me a goalie mask? :D I'll edit my post if I come up with anything.

how a cabon fiber version of the defi gauge pod? or even the pillar pod? or even carbon fiber gauge faces?

a lot of people (ok, at least 5) have been looking for a "true"
CF kit for the interior. i guess the OEM stuff is just a "stick on"
and these people want the real deal - center console area, door
trim, shift knob/ebrake, etc. also want them in colors - blue, yellow, red, etc.
a friend of mine mentioned some cf "altezza-like" tail lights. i
haven't seen anything like this, but it sounds cool (i have yet
to see a pic, mind you), and might earn some interest.
also, i'm looking at getting a cf hood scoop in the near future,
so i've obviously got some interest in that.

I really belive the guage pods that are posted on this thread by "porkchop" will go to production. So, I will pose antother question what would you prefer to see, I may have a prototype as early as next week.
As far as colors go, the carbon-kevlar comes in a great variety, black and blue, green, yellow, red, purple, and various others...

This is awsome. Im sure that you would have quite a market(especially for interior parts). Radio trim and ceter console replacements would be cool, as long as the price is reasonable.

I would second the gauge pod, only make one that fits 52mm gauges and is a little smaller as well. The Defi one is just a little too big for my tastes, but boy does that CF one look good... As for CF hoods and trunk lids, there is always going to be a market for them. Widebody parts would probably draw a lot of attention as well. Make some wider fenders for the WRX wagon guys. :)

Yes, i would be interested in C/F hood scoops, 22B vents, and a center gauge pod( like the OEM, i guess) for a GC8. and a good c/f dash kit would also be nice! any pieces that could have color would be AWSOME! like BRP/Black

I am interested in everything. Especially the interior stuff. If you were to make these parts what would the costs be? I just want some numbers to look at.
Right now I want to get CF overlay but if you are going to make a full CF trim that is not an overlay, and the price is right I might hold out and get your stuff.

I'm in SW PA too. I'd be interested in just about anything I could get my hands on. Especially CF panelling such as hood with reverse scoop and vents (I just LOVE the Trial GC8 hood), trunk lid, and WRC style extended fenders. 22b or V5 wing would also be really nice in CF. I would also be interested in interior options (like dash kit). Please email me if this actually comes to fruition. . .

Yes I'm definately down for those gauge pods. Also some interior would be awesome, I love how that second looks how it looks all connected. Please keep us updated unliked some of the other people who have said they are making things. I am interested in gauge pod soon so keep us informed. Thanks!

I expect to have both the GC8 and the WRX in to get the initial work done the week after Christmas... or somewhere close to that. The initial molds and pieces released will be the hood, the fenders (possibly a full wide body by mid-spring), front grill insert, guage pods, and full replacement interior panels for both.

If you made a replica of the $1600 STi wing, you would have my credit card number.
Also, all the WRX cf hoods have the WRX size hood scoop...if you made one w/ an STi scoop (even if you had to do 2 peices) you'd have my CC number again.
Lastly, maybe even a WRX trunk...the monster sport one is around $750...do you know what you would have if you made one of those...;)

i would take a CG8 hood and trunklid(perferably with vents and scoop also in carbon firber), pillar pod, battery cover/tie down and some STi style door stills.
if you need something to make a mold from i would be glad to take a ride, im in philly and i have friends at PITT so i know where you are.
