you want to trade your black hood for my seibon CWII hood with wide side vents?
imprezaowner27 03-29-2007 01:46 PM

my dream.....
2mprzya 03-29-2007 01:51 PM

if done tastefully, yes.
ewong_kaizen 03-29-2007 01:51 PM

sure - just paint the CF hood black :)
mlovro32 03-29-2007 02:00 PM

I work with a guy who has a black pearl STi and his looks really nice. So my vote is yes.
sheepdog 03-29-2007 02:03 PM

I personally think CF only looks good on black and white cars.... so I'd vote yes as well.

carbon fiber on black is the way to go
PrettyK 03-29-2007 02:09 PM

most definetly. It's just better looking on a black car. IMO
dcpatters 03-29-2007 02:11 PM

A ya from me too!! :D
Mechie3 03-29-2007 02:13 PM

Sorry, I disagree. On most CF equipped black cars i've seen it looks like you got a bad paint job. CF is more of an off black and so you go from a black car, to off black, to black (fender, hood, fender). I like it on blue and white and sometimes on red.

CF on black is sexy.
Just make sure you keep the car shiny and clean.
xsblack 03-29-2007 02:50 PM

CF + Black =

I have to look at it everyday and couldn't be happier

^^^ this is what i have heard to... but dose any one have anything to say about painted CF?
Mechie3 03-30-2007 09:17 AM

If you paint over CF it loses the CF look. What I have seen look good on black cars (any car really) is CF painted with a pattern that lets it blend, but still show off the weave (such as the APR WRX's)
silverwrx666 03-30-2007 12:03 PM

its your car if you like it then do it
CatfaceType-R 03-30-2007 02:59 PM

tastefully pulling it off is hard to do in any setup...but yes it has been done before very well many times
k00ky 03-30-2007 07:26 PM

Perfect combination, very subtle but distinctive.
subaru3169 03-30-2007 08:03 PM

yay for me then

Why don't you post a photo of your car and we can see what it looks like?
I3izzy 03-31-2007 07:55 PM

i love the cf on black, there should be a forum that has alot of pics of black cars and some of them have cf in them so you can get a idea of what it looks like but i have always though it looks slick. but really its all personal opinion, so try looking for other peoples pics of them.
