Damn Birds
O.k I had my car parked out at work today and some bird had diarea right over my car there was a big old splooge right on my rear wing. So I get home and wash it off with the hose. Dry it off an notice it like f'n stained the paint or something. So I tried some rubbing compund, not very much cas I know the paint on these cars are crappy. But after rubbing it for a while it is still there a little bit not as noticable as before. See the problem is I know its there. This is not just one spot there is one big one and like 3-4 smaller splotches. Any one got a clue what I can try??

that's some serious shiat.. causin stains and stuff.
i've noticed that the paint kinda sucks too.
i do a lot of highway drivin, and every trip i find more and more little dinks and paint chips..
I had a civic before my wrx, and I don't think the paint was this vulnerable...:monkey:

Haha, damn birds. I have been sprayed twice, but each time the shiat didn't stain my paint. One of their turds was on my car for three days in the sun! I just kept saying "oh man, i better clean that" and of course I kept forgetting. Luckily it rained to wash it off! But looking at where the poop was, no stain.

oh god.
that reminds me of something that happened 4 or 5 years ago. i was driving to work, all 4 windows open. a bird swoops in front of the car and i'm thinking it's going to be smacked by the windshield. well, it hits the passenger side a pillar instead. feathers go EVERYWHERE inside the car. i take a quick once over look to see if the bird somehow ended up in the car with all the feathers, but no. give it a good double checking when i get to work, look through the back seat, rear foot wells, under seats, front foot well, next to seats, and all is clear. about a week later i'm walking out of work and get to my car and lo and behold there's a damned dead sparrow in the rear deck right behind the seat back and next to the rear deck brake light. i was laughing so hard i couldn't explain what was so funny to my co-workers!

yeh, you need to coat your paint with wax more often then...sucks dude. there are some chemicals like the PROTECTOR which will help prevent stains on those darker color cars. i have a darkblue G20 too (wife drives it) and it gets hit by bird droppings all the time. but no stains.
i must have run over at least 7 birds. one time it got stuck in the lower grill area (i checked while I was out in the canyons but couldn't find the bird so thought it must've flown away) on my other car and i carried it home only to find feathers all under the car the same evening and no bird body left... i think a racoon dug it out from the bumper and ate it. :p hahahahaha.

sure it wasn't a gerbil?
as far as bird poop, i find alka seltzer works really well. don't use it on the paint; feed it to the seagulls.
here in the norfolk area we have mad seagulls, they seem to single out my car regularly. i haven't had a problem with permanent stains (i did on my black mustang). i wax regularly and don't park under trees.

bastards
Just today while pulling out of a parking lot, windows open....under a power line......SPLAT, right on the upper door seal, splattering onto the interior door panel, seat, floor, my leg.......#$@)(^#$()*&^(!#(*& I had one dump on my head once while washing my car, it felt like someone threw a rock and hit me in the head, until I felt the overspray onto my face and neck. Fortunately I was wearing a cap that day.

BB or pellet guns with 700+ fps work wonders for doing this. i pop them bishes off my neighbors roof all the time out of my kitchen window
if only it was legal to fire shotguns out of my window...:( :p :D
