Rallyarmor flaps
Here are pictures of Rallyarmor mud flaps I put on last night. How do you like them? :)

Yes, my car needs a car wash!

are they shiny like that for the new material flaps?
dwmoss_68 01-25-2007 09:27 AM

i'd be interested in getting some opinions on the new (limited) flaps versus the older style flaps..

anyone had both and had a preference?

the new ones are more flexable than the old one so they dont break as easily and could take more abuse. but by looking at the pictures of them both here, the limited do seem a bit TOO flimsy and might bend backwards and curl down the road.
Hokie-wrx wagon 01-25-2007 10:10 AM

love mine. They prevent a ton of rubber debris from hitting the side of my car on the track...

..and they keep the snow off the side of my car too!

Each time I think I want to get a set of these, I see a pic like this that makes them look really akward. How does that pic compare to real life?
cmiovino 01-25-2007 11:19 AM

Rally Armor are basicly the best... I havn't heard too many complaints about them.

Looks great to me :P
Redbastard 01-25-2007 11:23 AM

the limiteds
i have the limiteds as well. very shiny and takes some getting used to......also very easy to clean off.
Costas 01-25-2007 11:32 AM

the finish is a characteristic of the urethane material :)

They do look awkward from a low perspective like his picture. Mine looked just like that and i couldn't stand it. I ended up taking my dremel and opening the holes up quite a bit so the flaps fit almost flush with the bumper and it makes it look 100 times better than it did before.
dibblejr 01-25-2007 02:10 PM

Too me they look great, of course my wagon has a lot of fun in the snow, mud ect.
I imagine making them shorter would affect the overall usage for someone like me. But hey it;s your ride as long as you are happy.
Making them shorter would also probably make them a little more rigid and you would lose a little of the self cleaning effect that the flimsiness has.
Either way they will grow on you just like anything else you put on a car and at first dont like it, only good thing is if you dont like the flaps you can always remove them and re sell them fast. Someone is always looking for a set.

I love my rally armor, they are the best looking out of the other options out there and take quite a bit of abuse. I have scraped my rear ones many times and they still stay together and haven't gotten close to snapping once even in heavy snow where I put them through the ringer and they held up. Here is a few shots of them on my wagon.

definitely a great investment just for the fact it keeps your thin subie paint from rocks, gravel, and other misc. crap on the road. No longer does a jaunt on a dirt road make me cringe when I hear all the rocks kicking up into the wheel well.

The only problem with this picture is his car definietly needs to be lowered

Got pics?

I currently have the advanced auto parts $3/pair special on mine. the fronts look fine, but the backs aren't quite wide enough. I like the flush to the fender look, and they do a decent job of keeping crap off the car. I'll have to check out Jay-r's on Sunday.
