JDM Plates?

I saw a WRX the other day that had a front japanese license plate. Would you guys consider that rice? Just curious.

Actually, in florida we don't have to display front plates.

I rock mine on the front of my STI... it came off of my '02 wrx that I brought to Japan when I was stationed there a couple years ago... sure it's silly but it's unique if there's an actual story behind it... like all of those individuals that have Euro plates on the front of their cars... for the military it just tells people where you've been...

I split the difference.

I put on a JDM rear bumper, then I got a JDM plate frame for tyhe larger hole then added a custom US Plate. So is is actual JDM goodness without the rice. The effect is subtle. Nodody realizes this of course except me and that is all that counts.

And yes a JDM plate in front is Muy ricy unless it is a JDM car. That is the real criteria. Is it actually a JDM car or not. A faux plate on a USDM car is re-god-damn-diculous.. :rolleyes:

I have a JDM plate on my WRX. It was given to me from a friend in Japan who owns a Spec-C. I just hate the fake JDM plates, those looks so stupid. Or an authentic plate with the wrong designation. The Impreza has numbers in the upper right that must start with a "3", if not, it's not the right plate!

noooope it sure isn't... in fact any car (particularly USDM cars) are required to have Japanese "E" plates...

I know in most states there are laws against displaying anything other than a license plate in that spot. (Front or rear plate locations)

it is making 404whp on pump gas at relatively low boost, we expect at least 550whp on race gas once we do the tune. And no it hasnt been in any mags yet, look for it in import tuner in the next few months

Real ones, I think you'd need to steal them.

Replica ones can be had but the lettering is black not green.
