06 STi Head Lamps (s204 Scheme) W/Pics!

I painted the inner housing of the headlamp a dark gunmetal to match the s204's lamps. The color is similar to the 05's inner housing, but even nicer since its got some sparkle to it, its reminds me of esemes' grills.
There is no more amber, I painted that the same color as the inner housing. The blinker bulb will be replaced with chrome coated bulb that blinks in amber.... my friend has a steel grey 06 STi, I believe he is going to be the first with these lights.

Those look really good... way better w/out the amber.
I remember doing that with my civic when I had it and it was kinda tricky.

Looks nice but....did the amber used to be translucent to let the turn signal light through?
If so, you blocked off light from the sides so nobody can see the turn signal. Be careful, that might be illegal.

These were for a friend ;)
And yes I painted over the reflector, there is still a blinker bulb, its just taken out because im waiting on chrome bulbs that light up amber to replace the amber ones that I took out.

under the Orange corners there is a hole that they clip through you can see it on mine kinda

by the way anyone who has seen it in person is now trying to convince me to do it for them. I really like and think it looks clean there is no overspray or bloches around the bezel came out very clean. besides black on chrome looks good. But like i said i really like the color you did yours and i thought of painting the bezel it just wasnt for me

No...paint all of the shiny bits in the tails as well as the headlights charcoal or black would look sweet IMO.

Wow, those look amazing. I might give it a whirl this weekend. Even have a few extra cans of dupli-color graphite in my garage! Do you think this will look good on a CGM rex? Or should I go with a lighter silver color? (color matched)
