I rode around the Heathrow countryside quite a bit in that car. Ian's the consummate host. I especially like his little GPS speed camera detector toy. Fun blinky lights. :lol:


It's good to see that you had a fun trip Jamie! Hopefully I'll be able to make it over to the UK for the rally next year... we'll see what happens. John still owes me a ride in his Westie! :lol: I was disappointed that I didn't get to meet up with him to see the Durkeries Rally while I was over there last. We tried to make the timing work out, but my UK work schedule conflicted. Ah well, c'est la vie.


Any more pics forthcoming? These are great...

I have posted plenty from the rally in this forum, broke them down into shakedown, Rallyshow and leg1, leg2 and leg3 are all together.

Looks like my scoob did make the gallery after all. That's my Sport in the background, never missed a beat all trip, great car. :D

The car has been driven around on normal roads but it really wants to be off road to give it a real stretch if its legs........er I mean wheels :D and yes sorry Ian the green has to go :p

Ian intends to rally it next year and I will be honoured to be his co-driver :D

I am also selling my scoob and investing in a rally-specced MK2 Escort in the New Year too :D Oversteer frenzy and hand braking galore :D

I hope that if I can get across to the states next year as I intend to and after a bit of navigator experience that you would maybe honour me with a one off navigator place on a rally.............

Of course I return the invitation once I am set up :D as long as you don't mind a little Escort :D I have my eye on one or two at the moment and will be "test driving" some in January :D

heya...

the recce car is the reconnisance car...
the gravel team uses it to test the stages per the notes from reconnisance...

the forester belongs to prodrive...
was all stickered up... thought it was cool
they have Legacy's there too... vans... huge bus... etc.

too many cars to take piccys of them all! :D

the gravel cars (recce cars) were cool :D
