My WRX's Appearance - Your Thoughts (Take Two)

Hi guys,
I own an MY98 WRX and I would be grateful for some feedback its appearance.
The red and silver car on the left is a current picture of my car. The completely red car on the right is a picture what my car would look like if I were to colour code it. BTW, my wheels are gold.
WRXs are common in Australia and a few years ago I introduced the silver to look different. Now I am unsure which looks better. Should I leave my car the way it is (red/silver), or should colour code my car (red only)?
Thanks in advance. :)

A nice STi (or other) front lip would do wonders:)

all red looks much cleaner.
two colors makes it look like you didnt paint the bumper or spoiler, and then threw on the graphics to tie it together!
all red would look sweet.

Go with all red. The silver/red combo looks like you found it in a junkyard.

They silver looks like a lot of cars I've seen on the road near me. I can't really go for the primered look (although I'm sure it looks better in person).

go all red

I voted for red, but i can see how the silver/red is pretty different than alot of the cars on the road (i think thats a silverthorn bumper, not a primered one)
If you wanna go silver, the way i see that it would look good is change the wing back to red, and paint the entire lower half of the car silverthorn, a la outbacks' scheme

I like Seraph's view on this, and the original intent of the coloration was to be a little different from the norm; correct?
I think do the whole lower half silver, keeping the spoiler silver and perhaps photoshop to pre-see what matching the scoop to the silver would look like to tie in the scheme. A unique touch that, if done correctly, would add nicely and further help you stand out from the crowd.

i understand what you are saying, although i think the entire front bumper is a bit much...maybe something more subtle..like the front, rear, and side lips all silver...then like the spoiler and scoop....*maybe* even the grill.....that way it is spread evenly throught out the car...

hm....the poll says it all. 52 to 0, go with all red!

Thanks for the replies, more feedback is welcome. :)
LOL - I wasn't expecting the poll to be a landslide.

It looks unanimous.
I might think differently if the silver was at the same level all the way around (like legacy outback), including the rear bumper. I'd probably still vote all red, though. But hey, you were doing it to be different, right, and it is different, so more power to ya.

Definately all red.

I'm gonna have to say all red too. It may be possible to paint the lower beltline silver...but if it were my car, I'd go all red. Good Luck.

I like the all red look, but I think if you did the entire bottom of the car, like our OBS here in the states, it wouldn't look half bad. The spolier would have to be red though.
My .02 though
good luck and post pics when you decide!

Don't let any silver near your red man, it looks ricey.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
The two-tone scheme looked good a few years ago when the car was still current shape. However now that my cars shape is aging, the two-tone does make the car look unfinished. It actually looks better in real life, especially from the front. And although the pictures do not do it justice, I will be respraying the silver panels red in the coming months.
Cheers, Andre. :)
