I figured out what happened:

My DVD drive is an older model, and it was only able to read the B side of the dvd and not the A side. So I had my roommate rip the A side and send it to me so I could convert it.

However, he accidentally ripped Part 1 twice and sent it to me, so once I picked up on this, I gave the DVD back to him to rip part 2. I guess he put the dvd in the wrong way so when he ripped the 2nd part, it was actually the 4th part!

OK, another problem that I am running into is that when I d/l the file, it comes across as ~710 MB. I obviously can't put this on a CD, so how is anyone making the VCD's? Am I doing something wrong?

hm.. none of the vids i made are 710 mb, in fact, i burned them just fine. prolly there was an error in the download and it resumed in the wrong place

I have the video now and will be sending it off to the next person... :) btw, it worked fine on my inexpensive JVC in my bedroom, but the fairly high-end Toshiba in my living room wouldn't read it. :rolleyes:

I got some CPU time open now that the full WRC DVDset is finished being compressed. Someone want to give me the info on where to upload the final, and what level/rev of compression they want me to use?

pio PM me what flask settings or encode'n settings you used to compress the others and I will get the second day encoded.
