Yes the hoods will come in two different styles and will be able to fit both the Stock and the TruboXS top mount intercooler.
The diverter for the intercooler will be a removable piece the will allow you to purchase it for the stock or the TXS or if you later upgrade you can just replace the Diverter sold separate for each.
This means the hoods come with the one you ask for and if you later change you can get the other :)
Talk to you all soon,

Keep up the good work!:D

I HAD tryed saying something before in previous posts, but seems like no one else saw/knew what I was talking about....
You say you had a 1 million dollar machine make a mold of it, but if any 1 has any sense of visuals you can CLEARLY see the difference from PKZERO's mold and this mold...
I dont understand how poeple would still say "omg, looks so cool" etc etc.......
If we all begged to have the PROVA hood (replicated ofcoarse) then why would any 1 SETTLE for a replica that is NOT a replica....Im glad some 1 else is see'n eye to eye with what I am talking about. I'm in no way trying to bring you down, just curious no one saw what I was talking about and why you choose to go a different route with design ?
Regardless, Im still on the list for a CF version with PKZERO, I much rather have a PURE 100% CF version that looks (basically is) exsactly like the original for the same price as your CF o' top of fiberglass version....sorry.
Then again maybe poeple like your design better than the original !! More power to you -- its your car do what you want...this is just my 2 cents.
Just look at PKzero's version (also shown above) in this Thread (multiple pic)

Not everyone likes it...
Not everyone will like what we have done with the design and you know what that's because we all have different tastes. This hood was designed the way it was because we wanted to improve on an already GREAT design. The mold which has never been pictured here was made by a machine and that machine got the design for the hood mold from a digital rendering of the stock hood that was then modified to look like the final product.
I have never bashed the PKZERO product and never said I didn't like there design. But if you want a copy you can have it. Our design will fit better, and be more functional, this I can personally guarantee.
The PKZERO product I have no idea about because I have never seen one :)
We have put a lot of time into the re-design of the hood and know that our product will not only stand out as it is and provide a look unlike anyother on the market but will provide a quality superior to anything else on the market.
We will be shipping them in about a week and when you see the finished product on the cars I think as they say the picture will do all the talking :)
I look forward to working with all who are interested in this hood and if you have any questions dont hesitate to call and ask.

Well the fitment is more an opinion really. The hood that we are going to be selling was digitized then recreated to be an exact fit.
Everyone who has seen the hood on the car was awestruck at the quality and design.

ok...you looked at it and don't like it because it is not "exact". I am sure other people see it and remember what you KEEP saying....so let them make their own decision! If you are not going to get it, then don't post anymore on this thread!
I don't like the Pk??? hood that you like...but I am NOT going to that thread and talking crap about it.
Since you are SO PICKY...why don't you buy the ORIGINAL, and not the replica?

Why have the original for 3k when I can get a full CF version of the original....might not be made by them but it is the hood...Only reason I ever started with this was because there was sooo much interest in that hood, and I just wanted to make sure poeple understood that this hood isnt an exsact replica of the prova....But your right, if some poeple like this design better than so be it.....Just wanted to clarify there WAS a difference from each vendors hood....cus then u get the "i thought it was like the original" thing... but whatever I only posted cus I saw that some 1 saw the same thing I did....I hope YOU and any 1 else that gets this hood truely enjoys it (i mean it).......like an earlier post said, both hoods will turn heads....

If either manufacturer has complete units, ready to ship for a 2002 WRX sedan with TMIC, please PM me w/ price + shipping info.

I don't think either hood is for sale yet. WRXtuner I haven't heard much from lately, and PKzero hasn't acheived vendor status on this board...so there's delay on both front.
I wouldn't be surprised to wait 'till spring or even summer for someone to put one on.

So your mold must be made of steel to keep from flexing, you can't guarantee the fit unless it has been cut from steel or aluminum. By the way I never got an answer from you on material used with the carbon fiber. I'm just looking for the answers!!!! If you could step up. Are you just another middle man lookin for a quick buck?
A couple more things. Your scoop looks like it creates a lot of drag. The prova hood was developed in a wind tunnel. So what makes yours better.??? Your front extractors don't look like they could flow enough hot air out of the front engine compartment, let alone keep crap off the face of the buyer.
Please reply wrxtuner. We're all curious.

The company manufacturing the hood makes top fuel dragster bodies for some of the largest names in drag racing. Quality has always been one of our top priorities. As for your question the CF hoods do use a polyester resin.
Sorry if I missed your question there has been 142 replies to this thread and I have other threads I follow :)
As far as drag, putting an STi hieght scoop on your car will produce more drag. The hood vents are designed to extrtact as much heat as possible, if you look at the design, the lip in front of the vent will produce a vacuum which will pull heat out of the front of the engine compartment.

So, my concern is still the fact that the manufacturer of your carbon fiber version is using a polyester resin. Polyester resins do not penetrate the carbon fiber. This creates a problem in the quality of the part produced. It is the general consensus, and I have found in my experience, that vinylester resins should always be used when working with carbon fiber. The use of vinylester resin with carbon fiber requires "baking" the product in order to cure the finished product to prevent warping, no different than epoxy resins.
Do your manufacturers only dress in drag for weekend outings or is this a full time hobby? I am only looking for an honest, informative reply from you. Do you really know what you are selling?

dude, you are a big time hater huh?
Why are you in here pissing on this product? Do you make hoods and body components? A company that you know nothing about designed these hoods, and a MAJOR Japanese manufactureer contracts to them to make fender flares and body components for a popular new car. They in turn hired a very reputable company to make the fiberglass hoods. So what do you know about any of this? What have you made with your hands and hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of high tek milling and casting techniques? It's haters like you what that foul up the forums. Tell you what, when you buy one and you hate it , then complain and I'll make sure you get a big fat refund. Until then show us your creation.

Rallydog, don't be such a dog! Your starting to look bad. I suggest you go cut your steel mold with your ultra technical teeth.
This is a great looking hood! You should be happy that someone went to the effort to go past the relatively simple process of RIPlicating an existing part. These folks at GP Moto who have spent the time to visually agree with the Prova design and then start with a completely blank slate and create what we have now are professionals. Your postings scream of self-declared insightful questioning but after observing your comments I believe your insight into the manufacturing world is a film on the surface.
Great Hood, congrats!

I almost forgot, that hood is not finished product. It is the very first one created. It consists of only the top shell with wooden spacers to support it in about the right place it is not connected to the car in anyway. It was finished friday and painted friday night just in time for the show. It doesn't have the insert to form the seal for the IC and it doesn't have the windshield sprayers. This hood very very nice, it shows in the construction, when the shell and the support mold are joined and it is a funtioning hood the company will have complete photos showing the quality work and materials that went into the production of this hood.
This hood is going to be sweet. When you guys see the whole thing with all hardware and driveable you will know that too.

I have answered with honest replies show me where I have not been honest. I am not the manufacturer of the hood I have been involved with the development of this hood since the beginning and would not even think of putting my good name on the line without knowing the company that is manufacturing it.

I treat all my customers as friends and if they are not happy I am not happy. Hell my local customers come to the house and hang out and know they can drop by whenever they want :)
Business is business, I just don't let the relationship end there. We all are into this because we love our cars, myself included. I even request customers to call and ask questions, and I give the best recommendations I can from the knowledge I have accumulated over the years. I always recommend that customers do their home work because they are the one who has to make the decisions as to where they want to go with their car.
Your posts however harsh they may have been, have been honest questions, and I have done my best to provide you with the answers you were looking for.
Talk to you all soon :)

BUYER BEWARE? WTH?
The hood isn't even for sale yet!
I have seen it, have you heard of Bushwacker?
It's a nice piece. You don't know anything, I repeat ANYTHING about this hood. I'm asking now post two things you ever made.
Your a little penile hater dog, plain and simple. Let me ask you this, How the hell do you know anything about this product?
Or should I ask whats wrong with your life that you feel you can only feel big if you make others feel small? What are you being mislead on? If you got screwed by someone else, tough cookies, thats your issue, it has nothing to do with this product or the people making it. Bushwacker is a multimillion dollar company, if Toyota can trust them to make parts for the Matrix, then I think they can be trusted to make a product for the WRX without HATERS like youtrying to foul things up. So unless you have a real beef I suggest you sthu.

Giamilton.... I don't know
if I know you or not...But that hood ISN"T being made by Bushwacher, it does NOT have the Bushwacker name on it. It was designed in the Bushwacker facility, but is being produced by Generation Plastics.I agree that Nick has had ZERO to do with the production of the hood, but is coming across as a player in the equation. I do hope the hood is available soon..I've been down to the plant to see it too and its very nice..
Nick..You've been nice to talk to the few times we've talked...but you've been saying this hood will be available for shipping in a week for months and months. I stopped calling you and as a prospective customer for a fairly expensive item I would have expeted calls from YOU..Your PM to me said you can call me any time about the hood...from what I learned in my sales days is that if you've got a product you want to move...YOU go to the customers after an initial contact of interest. I stopped calling because I believed you didn't have the answers.

Matty, we may have met, through Sean.
I'm not bashing Nick, I'm talking about Dog812, The Bushwacker company is involved, they may not make the part in house, but it was designed and farmed out to a very reputable company to produce the finished piece. We know whats up, it's haters like Dog who hardly have a clue, if he has a problem with Nick, that's Dog's problem ,Not Generation Plastics or Bushwackers they shouldn't have to be ridiculed for quality on a part thats not even for sale! When someone has one to review they can say whatever they feel is right. Until then they are just talking out their collective arses. I'm preaching to the choir with you Matty, you know it's an awesome hood :)

Clearing the air...
Seems like I ruffled some feathers with my above post...Which I did NOT intend to do..Merely trying to point out to the hater (Dog812) that Nick is in Florida and the Hood is in Oregon. So even though Nick is in pretty regular contact with the designer and manufaturer he "may" not have ALL or CURRENT answers. Nick has been extremely helpful anytime I contacted him about the hood..I admit I did get frustrated with the lapses of time and delays in availabitilty but that has nothing to do with Nick...
Giamilton..You are preaching to the chior..It's a gorgeous hood..I want it NOW...was it your car the hood was on in the PDX Hotrod show ?? If so..what front lip is that ??
I hope this somewhat clears things up..like Nick said above..It's sometimes difficult to comer across the way you intend to...whan you type your words are just words you don't hear inflection or see the other persons face..so sometimes thinf=gs get misunderstood. Anyway...i'm out...Matty

The car in the show is Erich's, he has the c-west body kit.
My car is MBP and had the hood on in the mock-up stage when it was just being tweaked before being sent to production. So it didn't look nearly as good :) I can't wait either, hopefully I will receive the second hood, Sean has the paint so we are just waiting on the under-construction so the hood can be attached. Erich's car is pretty sweet, he came in best in Subaru and second in Street class. People are so wierd, the hood was just sitting on the car so it couldn't be opened and propped, but people kept knocking on the hood and twice people tried to pick it up by the vents!! Hello! It's a show car! don't touch unless you are female and naked!

i agree with matty i too have talked to nick and on oct 1 02 i put down a deposit of $400.00 for this hood. nick stated it would go into prodution by mid dec, he also stated i could get a yellow clear coat for the hood. he said he would send me a sample of the color to match with my car. 2 weeks go by and nothing, i call again and he says he going to send me the sample ( mind you i have put down 400.00 for this hood) again nothing! while speeking with him he assured me everything was on shedule.
by dec 18 i had my doubts of when i would recieve my hood and that i had not recieved the sample color as promised. i canceled the hood and nick stated he would have to sell my hood in-order to give me a refund, i said fine because he said that the hood was going into prodution the following week. guess what? it didnt nor did i get my refund anyway i called and talked to nick 3 more times and as usual he stated the hood was going into produtin the following week. after dealing with this for a 11/2 months i finally put it in the hands of my credit card and as of 2 weeks ago i got my refund back. i did not have a good first experience with wrx tuner and nor will he get repeat business from me. the sad thing is, if he wouldnt have jerked me around with my refund i probably would have done business with him again. that's my .02 on this thread

Sorry David...
David I do apologize for the issues. I received a call last week I thought it was from you since you were the only person who had asked for his money back on the deposit and was told that is was ok and that they would wait.
As I have been given information as to the status of the hood. I have posted it only to disappoint. This has not been my intention at all, If I get told something will be done I go on face value. Mitigating circumstances have made this project WAY stressful yet I still try to keep everyone informed as to the status.
I have a couple others waiting as well and they have been very good about it and seem to understand that taking on a development project such as this is not an easy task, as I have come to find out first hand. No I don't make the hood, but I have been there right along side of the manufacturer dealing with all the headaches and troubles just the same.
If I made one mistake, it was to take the few deposits I did without knowing this project would take so long. I do know now that we are at the end of this long awainted journey, which is a big relief to myself and all that are waiting for this thing to ship.
Sorry for any problems that have arisen during this ordeal I will do whatever I can to make it up to those that have endured.
Nick
