What I REALLY want is a setup where it's off when car is off, on when car is on and backlit when lights are on while retaining time/settings when the car is off. Kind of like the 08+ with their thermometer :sadbanana:

This was such a great idea and I would love to do this to my car. I am going to look around and see if I can't find or make a similar apparatus. I've made some pretty inventive **** in my day. I'll post more once I come up with something.

well I just ordered what looks to be a clock, in/out thermo, and battery gauge that should work. I ordered it from over seas so in 10-21 days i'll post pics after i'm done chopping up my stock clock :)
