they come right off with little effort...just try it with the pin stripe in case you don't like it...why would you even bother with paint?

the pinstripe thinkness that we're(or i believe) is 1/4".

yeah i know weird, but its worked for me, the sticky one that comes in a roll

stick the stiff part to the car, the fuzzy part to the emblem, cut along the boarder

This looks like a great mod that I def plan on doing however I just ordered the Grillcraft 3 piece grill for my 06, you guys think it would still show after I get the grill installed cause I have the tape and can do the mod now since I wont be getting the grillcraft grill for prolly like 2 weeks.

not sure if this has been said yet, but $5 for a little bit is overkill... I used 3M scotchlite reflective red tape - I cut it in a 1/4'' thin strip at a kinko's (didn't have a cutting board of my own big enough) -- the entire roll was less than $5 and you can get it at a ton of places, including autozone and meijer and walmart.

Hey im having trouble getting the rivets off the top of the grill I got the other 6 off but the top 2 don't seem to budge, do I have to use a lot of force or is there a trick to doing it?

just get a flat head screwdriver under there then lift up. once the head is popped up, just grab from the "base" and pull the rivet out.



I think the WRX badge would look better if it wasnt sitting on the edge of the grill...

its the same pinstripe you see on EVERY car on the road, except some old japanese and some american cars are painted on. i work as a detailer in a body shop and ive done pinstriping on 2356765432456 cars and the stuff is very good, just make sure its dry and clean.

I did this mod today and I like it but the guys all agree it would look better with the pinstripe in pink to match the STI logo on the grill and on the foglight covers.

Anyone know where I can find matching pinstripe or am I asking a lot?

i may be REALLY bad at this (not really because i was teh first to do all 3 pieces :banana:)

but this is ALOT tougher than it looks, my piece of crap vinyl keeps stretching and does not look good
