DScamp ... how come we never see you at our CSCC auto crosses at CA Spdwy ?! ... and you're planning on going to Nationals?
Im running this setup, and I love it. Full boost at 3500rpm (22psi)...very linear power delivery and great for autoX, it seems like an NA. Hopefully my co-driver and I will do good in next year nationals :)
Any dyno curves?

RainMaker, I am currently running SM with an 04 STi and a Deadbolt td0618g. I am slower than I was on the stock turbo. The stock turbo (VF39) is actually a great AX turbo, IMHO. Does anybody make the 18g with an SL2 wheel? That might make it a better AX turbo.
I will be getting a new protune very soon that may help with the spooling of my 18g, which I think is quite slow, but I have not been able to tune out (self tuned now). Of course, I am running an internal WG, not EWG.

FYI, I'm pretty sure RainMaker parted out his car and sold it.

One thing that makes it harder to drive is that the td0618g boost come on very strong when it does spool. This is quite different from the progressive feel of the stock VF39, which feels more like a NA car since it spools at such a low rpm. I must be careful as I roll on the throttle now. Since the 18g spools later, I try to get onto the throttle earlier, in anticipation of the spool delay. That means getting into the throttle while still exiting the turn. It works great when I time it correctly, but I risk spinning or pushing if I time it too early. I find myself left foot braking more to try to stay in boost.

The small (WRX?) turbo on the 2.5 Forester is excellent for AX ... tons of low end power.

Ive never ran in cali speedway, even though Im currently living 2 exits away. Ive always attended Qualcomm autoX, for the SD region.
I stopped for this year since I am pretty bad on money, so Ill start competing again next season. The plan is to run it in nationals in SM.

I dont have a scanner, but it put down 329whp and 333wtq on 91...hits peak tq at 4k,and hp starts tapering down at 7200rpms. On 100oct,its a whole diff story :) 50hp and 55tq gain, since the 91oct map is a very safe tune.

out top SM Subaru currently in dallas is a 2.0 bugeye with an Evo III 16g tuned by AWDtuning.com
Car is rediculously quick. He has a hybrid motor going in soon. should be fun. :)
now as far as an sti goes or 06/07 WRX.... would an 16g on a 2.5 be pointless?

I will restate what I said last year- the best turbo for a SM car would be a Lysholm 2300AX Supercharger pushing ~30 psi into an STI block.
500whp with no lag and close to the same weight (same vehicle weight overall) will start winning SM when someone gets crazy enough to build one.

I just checked out a kit for an Audi S4 and it looks quite impressive (and expensive). Seems like an awful lot of work to get it mounted and plumbed properly unless you think it could mount in place of the A/C compressor or something simple like that.

Hmmm, seems like it isn't much different than a well tuned TD05-20G, unless your 91 tune is very conservative....

Jon tuned it,and made it very conservative since this engine hates 91. After going through such problems to get it, I want to make sure that it will not go on me. With 100oct, more timing (which loves it) and a lil more boost its good for 380whp and 390wtq which is more than what I expected. I run hoosier A6's 245's and it just wants to slide everywhere. The best results that Ive gotten was with the 91 map, mixed with 100oct...the response of this motor is absolutely awesome
