PDE is killing me!!!!! I ordered some camber plates on Aug. 29th and haven't seen them yet!!
Somehow, it took them a week to notice a blooper in PAYPAL and a shipping address wasn't provided. SO, I kindly provided my address and was told that I'd see them TODAY.. Of course, I am posting to let you all know I have NOTHING and it's past 6pm in FL.
I have got to get these on the car.
I am just curious, is there any talk about next years nationals being scheduled during a weekend and/or any earlier ???
Has nationals ever been in august?
This year is the odd year out. Its usually the 1st or 2nd week of Sept. The rule book states that its to be held within 10 days of Sept 15th.
There was something going on during the usual week that delayed everything this year.

STU is second heat again. I wish SS was running first like last year though. :( Those wide Corvette tires do a pretty decent job of clearing the course and putting some rubber down. I guess FS will have to do.

I am just glad that I (STU) get to run earlier rather than later. I like to walk and then jump in the car and go.

It's usually the 1st or 2nd week in Sept. This year, with the move to HPT, and some other conflicting big event in Topeka, it was pushed out to the last week in Sept. Many have been told this is a one time deal.
Rule book says 'the event must begin 10 days from Sept 15th.' Although this year, it the competition starts on day 11. So... dunno.

We gave the STI a track weekend shakedown this past weekend! :)
I'm sure after doing 130mph on track I should really kill some cones out there in Topeka!
Got word this morning that at least 4 nationals bound competitors from this area broke their cars at an autocross. :( Sounds like they can all be fixed before the trip, but some will be busy.

Yeah, Ellerby/Frett gave all of us up here this weekend a reminder of how easy life is when you don't drive a mod car
Long story short: rebuild car last winter to use a 13b instead of the toyota 4cyl it had, blow up first motor. Dismantle several other rotories only to find you only have enough to good parts to build half a motor. get professional motor built. try to figure out fuel gremlins, find several old problems that need to be fixed. try again to figure out fuel gremlins. blow oil line, oil down t&t course. work on it some more race day, blow coolant hose after pulling back into grid. hope everything works 7 days from now...
I think at this point they've got enough rebuilt and learned that the thing should be bulletproof. The tuning may put a damper on this years results, but that thing should be a serious threat again for next years D mod title.

James, I want to be fast like you. I'm trying to imitate everything you do. What TYPE of cool new wheels are those. I don't see them in the Rota catalog ... although I'm sure they're working on a knock-off.
James really is a terrific driver. He came in third with that nice POS (Pleasant Old Suby), less then 0.7 seconds behind winner Stephen Yeoh and his new GTI on Yoks. Team Blew would be honored to round out their Suby stable with James next year.

Yeah 13b's are definetly tricky. They are very finicky about 12v getting to the fuel pump. You can't really detonate them or they'll blow to pieces. BUT, you can build a shortblock with Vaseline and rubberbands!!!!!
