I'll ask about the rulebooks when I speak to Tasha and Paula next. We don't have any in Atlanta yet, and I'm not sure when we'll get them. I would think the national office would be selling them at the Pro, as we will need all we can get for our local events.
I just nailed down the hotel rates for a couple locations near the site. Pretty happy with how the negotiations turned out. I guess being a salesman comes in handy every once in a while  I'll get the hotel info up on the scca website soon.
Cheers,
Joel

KC, can you give me more info on this:
The ProSolo NationalSeries provides national-level competition in a series structure using the all the regular national Solo II classes. While entrants must be SCCA members, a ProSolo license is not required until their second ProSolo event of the season, when they officially become part of the ProSolo NationalSeries Championship series.
How do we go about getting a license? I will be doing at least 3 ProSolo's this year...
1st one is free as a novice... to get you hooked. :) The rest you need to fill out this form and fax/mail it in:

I'll be sending all the hotel and site info to Tasha this week. Do a little dance for heat along with your regular rain dance. We're going to need it.

If it's above 40 that'll be balmy for me. Will be doing the no-rain dance though. :) I hate driving in the rain.
I was debating getting 245/45/16 Hoosiers versus 255/50/16 ones. 255/55/16 is very tall, I'd have to get out the sawzall to make that fit. I hate shifting though. :)

On a related note, when do the new rulebooks come out?

You can usually buy the rulebooks at the back of the tech truck as well.
As far as rain tires, I wouldn't worry about them. I don't think there has ever been a Pro where it rained for all the runs.

As it stands now, who all is running their STi in AS? I was really hoping to see how the car turned out in that class, but since my codriver bailed, I'm at a loss for who's gonna be driving out there? Crazyhorse wasn't sure if Bodine would be running the Solos last time I talked to him.. so who is running AS (aside from those posted here)?

The other car I know in that list is the Neon from Aaron/Frank Miller. It uses a 2.4L built N/A motor and has 4 individual throttle bodies with little K&N filters that stick out of the hood. The throttle response of that car is amazing, it has a Qaife LSD and 245 Hoosiers up front and still spun the tires (at Peru). Not to mention it weighs 2400 lbs. Very tempermental car though, and the father isn't a real fast driver at all, he just goes along to work on the car for the most part I think.

Oh yeah, I guess it was the Hampton, not the Fairfield. Same difference. I usually can't distinguish between the two when I'm travelling. The new Hilton Garden is nice though...

I just got off the phone with the Hampton/Sugarloaf, and they have no idea who or what SCCA is. There is no group rate at that hotel for that weekend for us.
The AAA rate there is $79 a night.
