Lets see your driving shoes !! ( race shoes also).. part 1

RaceComp Engineering 03-21-2006 05:11 PM

Lets see your driving shoes !! ( race shoes also)..
Ok, so the wife claims I have wayyy too many driving shoes. I always dismiss her claims as "whatever"..and keep on keepin' on.

The other day I started adding them up and realized she is right.

So lets see your driving shoes, race shoes, and or track shoes. I guess my obsession goes back to when my uncle taught me how to heel and toe in a 911 with Army boots on !!!

Post your shoes people..........

Piloti Spyder SV slip-ons are so comfortable and fast to change into. I don't like to work in my driving shoes ... not enough support and too thin for running in ... so the Piloti Spyders are great for convenience!

I like them. I'm on my second pair... the problem is that the newer ones are overdesigned with all sorts of ridiculous colors and materials... it took me forever to find a pair of basic black and white this time around.

ha!.. yeah, they come in many colors now. I found a pair of black suede ones, but I didn't have to look too much, but it was shortly after Christmas (or was it right before??) anyway... I did notice the multitude of colors.

My buddy got the blue vinyl'ish ones.. they match Suby-blue pretty nice :)

Ok so it was $30 after shipping and tax. I think the regular price was $60, and that cream color was marked down to $30 for some reason -- they only had about half of the sizes in that color. (I wouldn't have picked that color if it wasn't for the clearance price.) Then I also found a 30% off coupon, which brought it down even more.

I actually considered starting a thread here to let other people know, but decided not to because it was kinda OT. I probably should have :D

When my running shoes die, they get recycled into my everyday wear/racing shoe. Right now they're blue Adidas Response TR8's. Nothing like proper arch support when you've got to run cones down.
