Are these Tsubo's? How are they for driving? I tried on a pair like this and they felt like I had boards strapped to the bottom of my feet so I would imagine the pedal feel is pretty good.

If that says "Power" for the gas pedal, does the left sole say "LFB" for left foot braking?

Daily drivers on left, weekend warriors on right
Green ones are Puma Roma's, but they are my culinary school colors, and i call them the Aroma's...i love the camo laces

The Red ones are Sparco Pumas, a friend from france gave them to me years ago so i dont know how much they were, where to get them, etc.
Pete Holt 03-23-2006 09:22 PM

For those of you who use Puma speed cats, are they pretty good for heel and toe on stock WRX pedals? I have not even had a chance to try on a pair yet.

They are great and no board feeling. They break in very well.

Yes! I heel/toe'd with them a dozen times on my way home about an hour ago. I moved my gas pedal closer to the brake before I got the shoes but I'm sure it would fine in the stock position.

WRX8XB 03-24-2006 10:53 AM

I have a pair of Puma Speedcat hi tops.

got them on clearance for $28 at Journey's or something like that in the mall.

i'm used to wearing big, cushy skate shoes so these are impossible to wear on a daily basis, but they are awesome for Autox.

Check on the Champs, Foot Locker, and Finish line websites. I got mine from a Champs store here in the Cleveland area. It is one of those clearance Champ's though.

Anyone know how these are sized compared to "regular" tennis shoes? I wear a size 13 normally and if these are sized a little small then they should work for me. :)
rt4me 04-10-2006 08:47 AM

DOH! Already sold out of the size 14 Speed Cats.
infantsam 04-11-2006 01:32 AM

i can't find anything in 14EE :( - I'd pay whatever just to get some. I know if I get 14's they'll just hurt so bad - darn bunions all sticking out and screwing things up again

if you get the kind you have, the COs then there around $80-90. If you get the regular grit cats, theyre about $55-65.

It's official, I farking love these shoes. Very nice pedal feel nice and light (I love that sole flex, because shoes shouldn't be ironing boards). They make driving much more pleasant and kick ass for just lounging around.
