the LED i said was "flaky" has now burnt out... Lasted all of 2 weeks TOPS... Sent an email to superbrightleds about warranty and i'm waiting to hear back from them...

people can just read your plates alot better and cops can pic you out easily on the freeway
| l2iceboy | 02-04-2008 03:53 PM |
I want to put them on my front parking light as well(one is out so needs replacing anyway), and I"m gonna get 4300k HIDs, would these match? or are these really blue in person?
would 600kHIDs look better with these? i like 4300k since i get the best view of the street from inside the car.
i'm assuming from these postings that the license plate taillights as the same bulb type as the front parking lights on the bugeye?

ive had my superbrightled rear license plate bulbs for a while now and theyre doing great....
def clean up the back of the car real nice...and it doesnt really make them easier to read. theyre almost harder to see because the letters/numbers look a lot sharper and harder on the eyes :D

The lights look great (the white one's, not the blue).
To all the people saying the cops will see your plate easier you guys clearly don't get the point of these. Why would the cop pull you over for doing nothing driving down the freeway. If I was a cop and saw somebody that gave me a better chance of seeing who they were I'd move along and find someone who's hiding something (their plate with no lights). If you're going to screw around and drive like a j-a-c-k-a-s-s then turn off your lights, flip on the high beams and problem solved.

Looking through their site, I am contemplating an interior color change as well as upgrading my map, dome, and license plate lights.

I purchased (4) of the super white LED's that everyone has been getting in here, and they came with a notice on the packaging that if you install them into headlamp housings, the one year warranty is voided.

I've had LED lights in my headlamp housings before and they burned out after about 20K miles (one year or so of use)
Just mentioning that for whatever it's worth. I know $5 a bulb isn't a big deal, but I also don't want people thinking that LED's will last longer than a normal 194/168 bulb in the headlamp housings.

I just got a whole kit for the interior and plate from a vendor on here for ~40 bucks.
Here is there site: http://yourledshop.com/shop/
They have a thread in the classifieds; I'm sure you can search it. The kit was cheap, shipped ridiculously fast (bought Wednesday night, arrived Friday), and the results were great. Perfect white light (no blueish tint). I would check them out.
EDIT: I see [emailprotected] made it here already.

Nope, you will not have a problem with that. I just don't know if it will melt if you have HIDs. I have mine almost 10,000 miles and still didn't burn out.
