Does anyone that used teh 3M Reflective Tape have any suggestions on how to cut the 1" to a 1/4"? I discussed an idea with a friend, I would take a long ruler and an exacto knife and would just slice it down accordingly to the ruler. Any nay says or suggestions?

^^ That's what I'm planning to do (gonna switch from prostripe to 3m for a deeper red) except I would clamp the ruler to a bench over the top of the tape to ensure a straighter edge.

^Looks nice, looks like mine but yours is more even as you go around.
I had to trim a 1" wide pinstripe down to 1/4" and I wasnt as accurate with the cut but it still looks good.

I like both just the center and all 3 grills done. I went to get the 3m tape last night, it isn't reflective in the day, but at night it glows. It also only comes 1 inch wide (which I knew) but only gets you 1 yard for $5. While I agree my original prostripe stuff is a little orangy in certian lights, it wasn't worth the hassle to try the 3m stuff. Maybe if I find some 1/4" stuff that is a deep red I'll redo it.

i used the prostripe 1/4" stuff that the OP recommended. i agree that it is a little on the "orange/red" side, but IMO is still pretty close to hte color of the brakes.

Mine has been fine through rain, snow, and a little Auto-X. A lot of it probably depends on how hard you first press down the tape.

yup. use a sqeege/something that wont tear the pinstripe or make scratches that you can press down with hard.
i re-striped my BMW using this same pinstripe in white and it didn't peel through 2 winters.

Am I the only one that took off the backing piece of the center grille that forms the column? I think it looks better and it doesn't seem to protect the hood latch.
I did this mod and I still don't know if I like it or not... part of me thinks it's rice and part of me thinks it is unique and kinda quirky/cool.

i did the "candy cane" pinstripe, cause thats all they had at autozone, but i ended up removing the outer stripe. i love it, and it matches my nurburgring stickers on the doors ;)
