I already posted this in the Canada Region Forum, but:
That was one of the best rallies I've ever seen! It had everything a rally could have: team orders, 2 veterans fighting it out, 2 new drivers fighting it out for the win and the championship, veterans bowing out due to illness, crashes, etc., Solberg going absolutely nuts after the finish, Phil Mills getting little to no praise after the win, Solberg almost losing it when he bent his suspension, co-driver Mills calming him down and making sure that Solberg focused on driving... best rally!!!
And, of course, who could forget those custom Gold shoes! What a great way to see one of the best drivers in the history of the sport go out!!!

It was a real neat gesture for Subaru to have replaced their name with "Makinen" on Tommi's car. I think that even though Citroen goes down in the record books as the 2003 Manufacturer's Champion, people with knowledge of this rally (and this season) will remember Subaru for the best teamwork - no unhappy drivers due to team orders or any such BS - just a total commitment by everyone to get the job done.
Another thing: Citroen and Peugeot ended up 1st (160 pts.) and 2nd (145 pts.) repectively in the Manufacturer's Championship using 3 cars. Subaru came 3rd (109 points) using just 2 cars. If the French teams ran just 2 cars, then theoretically, Citroen would have finished with 107 points, Peugeot with 97 and Subaru would be Champion.
And yes, I do know that the only reason teams choose to run more cars is to score more points :devil: , but I think it's interesting to play around with the numbers to see who ends up where on a level playing field. :p

The 04 car is supposed to have "aerodynamic changes".. I wonder what the NEW wing will be like. ;)

There is a new regulation that will allow for more body panels, fenders and bumpers can be plastic.
I can't remember what was added to this list exactly, but I remember hearing that a plastic front fascia is in the works.

Lame ending to an exciting season... Burns out sick, Carlos goes off in the third stage, and Loeb was told to slow down.
Not taking away anything from Peter. He has worked hard over the season to put himself at the top. I hope next year is as exciting.

Its on WRC.com only during the rallies. Intra-web radio.
They did play that Darkness song a few too many times over the weekend for me. They don't announce what being played very often for that matter. They like Garbage on there at least.
