I say forget SPEED if they're the problem. let's just wait for another service or network to pick it up next year and we support the hell out of them and watch SPEED squirm to get it back.............< I realize this is just wishful thinking and not going to happen but it'd be nice.

I've been watching torrents of the Eurosport coverage, and apart from the lack of Nicky Grist, it's much better than anything I've seen before.

Well after several emails to Speed TV, I was convinced that I don't need their programming anymore.
Here's my final vote: [COLOR=Red][B]I dropped DirecTV today[/B][/COLOR].
I told them it was due to the lack of WRC coverage on Speed. With the rate increase of $4 due March 1st, I don't think F1 is enough to warrent the $600 per year that they are charging.
Petitions don't pull much weight, our $$$ is the only vote that counts.

Well, to add insult to injury . . . . . I have a few African American friends at work who are really into anything about their culture. So I used TIVO to record the show about Black Race Drivers in history for them. ***???!!!!!! It is all about NASCRAP Black drivers! They only mention Willy T Ribbs for about 3 minutes (he was in F1, then in SCA - not even saying SCCA right, or talk about his great Trans Am or IMSA days - which even I was looking forward to watching), and one or two other drivers that mention SCCA in passing, and the rest is about NASCRAP!!!!!!! So now the good ole boyz even try to play the "race" card to get more (minority) viewers interested in their boring circle jerks - considering that the "knights in white satin" in the early days didn't even allow them to enter the real race events! Sheesh, talk about hipocrites!!!!!! :furious:

Just left SpeedTV a comment about my most personal desires. I hate having to download torrents to watch rally, but they're better than nothing. What I would like is for someone to produce a WRC complete season 2005 like companies do for so many sitcoms and dramas. I'd buy it. Charge $100 for it, I'd still buy it. I can't believe that it's not cost-effective for SpeedTV to send a small crew to all the events to cover them. Do they really think that they might make more money with another talk show about Nascar? I can't imagine that that is so.

Wasn't it on CBS? I think Fox and CBS kissing cousins some how. They showed two F1 races last year... not all that suprising.

So this means that SpeedTV is acting retarded for another successive year? I don't get it. WRC is HUGE around the world, drawing more fans than anything except maybe soccer, though some of the European rallys draw VAST crowds far in excess of what could fit in a stadium. How is this not profitable to SpeedTV? Isn't there some way that they could make money off of this? Or is Cialis and Nascar that much more profitable? They must know that there are motorsport fans out there who want rally and loathe Nascar. You'd think they'd want to grow and reach those whom they're not reaching right now.

Well, seeing as Speed would have to buy the coverage, and it's not cheap, so yes Cialis and Nascar are profitable.
