I believe the pod holds the camera and a GPS unit. camera's good for televising the WRC events, probably a bit much for everyday use though :lol:

fourstarmotorsports has the mirrors listed at about $700 and Camerapod for $500 in canadian money. I cannot afford it yet and I am currently looking at rallytech because they also make these mirrors....i still am not sure if rallytech supplies Subaru or they are just replicas because they are in England.
anyhows...right now no money for these parts. Just want tons of pictures from those who have actually bought these items in the past if anybody has done it- because i have never seen them posted from a home camera rather than foreign vendors.

On post #8 on the 3rd picture, why do those lights look like TSX lights? Those arent the '06 lights are they?

hmm, It says shell on the site and L'aunsport isnt known for making pieces that simply "look" pretty. I'm going to guess that it actually provides some weight reduction, which coming from the top of the car, is a HUGE improvement on performance. But the price seems unreal..

it seems that this thing just goes on top of it, and actually adds weight and its more for looks(much like a CF hood).

There is a Japanese video floating around with a comparison between the Evo MR and VIII. The MR had a lightened roof of about 4kg and it made a noticeable improvement in handling. This might be worth looking into - especially for $400.

but how much of that better handling is caused by the roof, and how much is caused by the better suspension setup and so on?

well what they did was they did a baseline run of a stock MR, then took what looked like a big rubber mat weighing 4kg and slapped it on top then did a run. So it was stock MR versus heavy roof MR.

About the mirrors....Who wants to buy the S10 WRC carbon fiber mirrors? Rallitech does these mirrors and supplies them to Prodrive....they are the real deal and not Launsport replicas.

guys ive been trying to import this stuff from launsport for some time now but unfortunately the shipping is what kills the whole deal the roof to ship alone is already 700.00 bux, the hood is the same thing its not the weight they go by, they price the shipping through the bulk and size of it and the risk involve in shiiping out a huge cf part with out the shipper breaking it, i tied getting a local cf fabricator to do the roof but alas they went out of business, so for now unless someone wants to do a gb to divide the cost of shipping equally that cf roof or hood or any other launsport part stays in the shores of the rising sun.

I've seen those videos, thats why it caught my attention, even if it only shaves 2-3 kilos its a huge difference in handling.
KAX: A cf hood isnt a cover, its a full replacement so its not in any way similar as you said before.
The shipping is exactly what frightens me...why cant someone here in the US come out with one. I'd be all In if it were around $4-500

if you read that again, i didnt say a CF hood goes on top, i said its more for looks and actually adds weight. Our hoods are lighter than CF.
And for it being still a cover, if it gets hit and dents, the CF will still pop back out, but the cf will also dent the actual roof underneath and youll still have a dented roof, you just wont be able to see it.
