Sorry for the crappy pics, but I don't have a digital camera, so a scanner is the best I can do.
Interesting note: I can't fit the license plate on. it is set up for the Japanese plates.

Definately changes the character of the car....I think it would look great with some JDM projectors. It seems to remind me of the the 996 Turbo (a little) I think it looks better than all those gaudy lip add-ons out there

Me no likey
| Eternal_Reign | 08-24-2002 03:39 PM |
I like it, the rounded design fits with the bug eyes much better. I also agree with the person that said it would look even better with the JDM STi headlights.
| music4robots | 08-24-2002 07:51 PM |
did you have to cut into the bumper beam at all? looks good

Curt -
First of all, I want to thank you for buying the Euro body kit (at least the front bumper), installing it on your car and providing us with the first real life pics. It was hard to see beyond the advertising for the kit that was on Vivid Racing.
I'm glad your happy with it and it looks great but I personally don't think I would want it for my car. Looks cool tho'! :)

Looks very Porsche-esque. I think some projectors would help the look better, but not too bad. I am sure it must look great in person since most pictures dont do the Impreza it's justice.

I think it looks great. How much was it? How much did it cost to get painted? Do they make a matching rear?

it's designed by porsche designers. thus the uncanny resemblance to porsche fascias. vivid has them available factory painted in silver and black(front and rear bumper). i think they're over a grand a pop.
| Turbo4me | 08-24-2002 11:45 PM |
No cutting was needed and yes there is a rear cover as well. I am going to wait on the rear until after the LHD STi lights make it in my Christmas stocking. There were only some minor mounting issues, but nothing that would keep me from mounting.
The front is around $1600 IIRC and as long as you have a silver or black car, no painting is needed.
Curt
Edit: Can't spool

That is interesting, since I was under the impression that Japanese plates were the same size as ours. I thought that there 2 standardized sizes: Euro (long & skinny) & US type (more square like, but still a rectangle).
maybe you just need a different bracket or maybe you could just re drill the holes...
BTW, I love the Type Euro Bumper!

You know, I actually really like that. Really sets your car apart from the others.

Congrats! Looks awesome, and is definitely one-of-a-kind in the US... :)

Crap. They only fit the wagon. I have a sedan.

so what happens to the fogs? are they hidden behind the left and right grills? actually, what you need are dual front intercoolers ala Audi RS4!
| paultg | 08-25-2002 03:01 PM |
I think the fogs are gone and all the bumper openings have "mesh" in them, to prevent seeing the inner bumper beam, etc.
Curt, can't wait to see the car in person. How did the paint come out? From the pictures it looks really good. If you want to meet up and get some higher quality pictures let me know.

I just thought, what do you think it would look like with the rounded prova design?

Curt, I like it a lot better than what it replaced.
The V7 stock WRX front end is butt-ugly if you ask me.

I like it but I couldn't sacrifice my fogs.
| zabutter | 08-26-2002 01:51 AM |
Knowing that F.A. Porsche designed it, it really does look like my dad's old 356 or 365 Type C roadster from 1963. I saw a shot in members gallery a while back...a NAI (new age impreza) next to a Boxster or Carrera. Man, did they ever look alike. Amazing!
| -=Ph/\t WRX=- | 08-26-2002 02:15 AM |
Definitely looks like the new Porsche Cayenne coming out next year.
Great job on getting a hold of something nobody else has yet. You are the first I've seen with it. Definitely upgrade the headlights and the rear bumper.
Good job!

I hope you are reffering to some sort of upgraded lamps, b/c the OE aux lights are good, if all you need to see is about 5-10 feet in front of your car. Besides, with all that mesh, you could surely hide some nice Hellas or PIAAs.
