What this is can be very easily explained. They want gauges. I understand that. But they also chose to keep the factory clock. Why? So that they will not miss the next tea-time. ;)

Let me see, what was the fastest plane in the European arena before the jet (we Brits had a jet at the end of WWII - did the US?), ah yes the Mosquito. What was it made of - Wood and canvas.
The Lysander was the first true STOL plane, used to deliver agents behind enemy lines.
Just because we have a better selection of Scoobies than you there is no need to get so personal!
How many of you have actually been to the UK, I bet less than my numerous trips to the States? Be very careful of going down the anti-British route my friend.

actually, the germans had an all wood twin engine interceptor later in the war made by Focke Wulf. Although the resins the used in lamination were prone to delamination...

It doesn't look that way in the pictures above. It looks as though the Defi is more recessed than the pic below it. Either way it/they look(s) good.
