is there one like that for a STI II wagon?
Tuning Factory Inc. 05-02-2001 06:25 PM

Drool!!! That is one sweet ass bumper!!!
[freeman] 05-02-2001 08:52 PM

looks to me likes its just a front lip.....you blue doesnt seem to exactly match
2yLiTe 05-02-2001 09:17 PM

granted, the kit is nice...I have to say that the photography is incredible!!
schuey555 05-02-2001 09:21 PM

Thats a nice kit. making the grill look like its smiling instead of frowning makes a huge difference in my opinion[img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif[/img]
Kaotikimpreza 05-02-2001 10:02 PM

bad kit
MagicMT 05-02-2001 10:07 PM

That bumper is humoungous! I wonder if the car is even lowered. Imagine if you had that kit, you'd be praying to get over speed bumps and you'd be scooping up roadkill all day long [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img]
mykrrrr 05-03-2001 03:25 AM

does it transform in to a robot or what??? [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/tongue.gif[/img]

for some reason, I don't think it's hold up in Chicago...

FreaK 05-03-2001 03:30 AM

That car looks like it's been lowered a bit too much. But the kit looks good. Better than any other WRX kit I've seen so far.

adamsrs 05-03-2001 10:07 AM

Oh dang! Low as FFFFF! It is just a lip and a grill though. Probably like $1000 USD not shipped!

eastbaysubaru 05-03-2001 10:11 AM

Yeah, it looks good, but would function like Crap. I would dread going into any parking lots just cause there might be a speed bump lurking somewhere in there. I hope this car's lowered 'cause if it isn't then it's not functional at all.

dvs81n 05-03-2001 01:23 PM

I want......i wonder if it will go onto a 1994 WRX wagon hmmmmm.........if not i make it fit [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif[/img][img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif[/img][img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif[/img][img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif[/img][img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Hashiriya 05-03-2001 08:20 PM

IMPREZAmike 05-04-2001 08:34 AM

RallyC 05-04-2001 09:57 AM

Does anyone know how to get those STI headlights? I can't seem to find them on STI's site (well not for sale separately)... For the US MY2002 of course.
skeletor25rs 05-04-2001 10:09 AM

I just decided I want a wagon[img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/eek.gif[/img]

GooseMan 05-04-2001 02:58 PM

Am I crazy, or do those pics look like scale MODELS of WRX's? I mean, I know they'r real, but theres something wrong with the pics....is it just me? Look at the asphalt, it looks all fake......I dunno...I'm tired

Jon
SHADOWES 05-04-2001 03:46 PM

Something is definatly wrong with thoes pics... when you look throu the windows of the cars everything is in focus... I want my windowsto do that =) perscription windsheilds. hum anyway ya something is not write... it is a very cool kit thoe.
Scoober01 05-04-2001 03:52 PM

He's right that's not a real car. Its a model. Look at how out of focus the background is compared to the asphalt. This is a classic example of forced perception. The car is really close to the camera on a fake asphalt setup and the back ground is way far away giving the impression of the car being much bigger.
FuZZyLoGiC 05-04-2001 04:03 PM

PhotoShop 5.5... nice job [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif[/img]
Cthulhu 05-04-2001 04:46 PM

lol...you guys are funny. That is a real car. The background is blurred to make the actual subject of the picture stand out. The niiice WRX wagon in this example. Yeah, it was prob done in Photoshop, but that doesn't mean it's not a real car. It's actually more common than you think...

-Bill
Idjiit 05-04-2001 04:58 PM

It's a common technique which you can achieve with lens choices, lighting etc. but I think the last poster is correct - they're blurring everything except the car to make it stand out. And boy, does it stand out. Really whacked out, a little mind bending to look at. Like the description of Hot-Black Desiotto's ship in the Restaraunt at the End of the Universe... "light kind of... falls into it" Very strange.

Kind of makes it look like a set from Stanly the Steam Engine. Heh. [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif[/img]
Dirt Man 05-04-2001 05:08 PM

WOW. I'd love to pull up at a stop light in this, and have some punk-a$$ Redneck in a Camaro get dusted by a station wagon!

George71 05-05-2001 10:40 AM

Hey, cool tips on the Photoshop technique. I did what Idjiit said to a photo of my own car. The result looks pretty cool, although better lighting and some stripes on the ground would make the effect more pronounced.

Bingo, George. Nice car, by the way... the Sedona Red Wagon was my first choice, but the Midnight Pearl was sitting there on the lot, waiting for me to buy it, so... Bought it that day. [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Can't wait to see your car with some Athracite P7's. [img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif[/img]
Ski Man 05-05-2001 01:39 PM

Looks great! Unfortunatly, where I take it I'd need to reinforce it and charge the county for plow and grade work![img]http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif[/img]
blkwag 05-06-2001 10:19 PM

That kit is mad crazy.

And I thought my car was low:

lOOKS awesome but whats seen through the windows in some shots on the site are completely different than what should be in the background.

Yeesh, the car looks great and so do the pics. You guys are being very nit-picky.
Idjiit 05-07-2001 01:05 PM

A4Killer -
Thanks dude, you just made my point for me quite well. Check out this picture...

<img src="http://www.car-promenade.co.jp/liberal/newimpreza/img/01.jpg" width="400" height="300" >

You can see that, through the window - the trees are in focus (at least more than the trees outside the window). It's extremely hard to create a mask through a window to do the blur, so they just said "forget it". This illustrates really well the technique we're talking about.

More perverse is the idea that someone would create an extremely detailed HO scale model of a WRX just to sell a body kit. lol

I could go into great length about how you can see the reflection of the landscape in the windows and highly polish body, etc. ad nauseum - but I think the point has been made.
blkwag 05-07-2001 02:58 PM

I like that 'I M P R E Z A' lettering in the back instead of the 'S U B A R U'.
MrHorspwer 05-07-2001 05:25 PM

I'm a little weary on the body kit as a whole... but the grill surround and the headlamps look killer.
wrxracer 05-08-2001 01:53 PM

well boys and girls i e-mailed liberal and got and e-mail back, they are trying to make sure i have the same style car and they said in there e-mail that there english is not very good but that they "do" make a sedan kit...WOW..waiting to see what kind of price it is and if i can get the pieces sepratly...let u know what i find...
Spreadmo 05-08-2001 07:57 PM

Please find out any information you possiblay can. This is by far the best looking kit yet!
