A bunch of the Kansas City area crew will probably be coming out to hang out during the ProSolo Finale. Anyone want to get together on one of the off days and goto the Blind Tiger or something.

I am planning on going to the races over the weekend. I also have a buddy and a couple of other people that were at the last little meet we had are also talking about going as well. I think for sure hummer and wrxbuddah are going. I think hummer was talking to peaty but I haven't had a chance to contact him yet.

Just to update you Patrick. I have just recently decided to run with you guys in STX instead of STS. I figure I will have more fun running with you guys instead of worrying about those frankencivics. I will be codriving Jason Wong's WRX in the National Championships, but will still drive my car in STS for the Pro-Solo finale. Just one more to add to your list of STXers. See you there.

I'm also in for the ProSolo finale (#42 STX). It didn't look good for a while, but eventually enough people cancelled so that everybody will be able to run. I'll be driving back home on Sunday, and should be back in Topeka (including codriver) on Wednesday around noon.
The car is still waiting for some last minute improvement, otherwise I'm as ready as I'll get! Yes, STX will be brutal, we have a heat almost for ourselves (only STX and BSL in heat 4).

still not sure if i'll be there or staying home to work on the rally car. things keep changing so much and so often i don't know which way is up anymore. anyway, good luck to you all if i don't make it out. either way, hopefully the weather will be better in Topeka then it was this past weekend. i got to witness the most rain they've ever had in a day. i feel so lucky. actually, i probably shouldn't go to the finale. i don't think i can handle spending 3 out of the last 4 weekends in topeka :huh:

It's the culmination of what everyones worked so hard for this year.
I find it hard to understand how one could work as hard as you did, as anyone did, to get to the show and say "Nahhhhh".
But I guess everyones got their priorities to watch for...

Hi:
I haven't been to the ProSolo finale or the Solo2 Nationals before (but I have been to Forbes Field).
Are they spectator friendly? How much to get in? Should I bring chairs, or are there some bleachers?
Any other tips from people who have been before?

We'll see this year. Last year I launched off one of the north course 'bumps' with the DMS and the car just went up, over, down, (compressed) then bounced back up into a spin.
Hopefully the Teins will just soak it up. :D

What a fun weekend so far. It's just to close to tell who's going to win STX this year as the top 5 are .5 away from each other.

Back from the drama, part I. Yes, the STX results, from memory: 1st KC, he pulled it out with great runs in the last heat. 2nd Tom, 3rd Brian M., 4th Courtney, 5th Brian G. Not sure about the exact order of the next places, Kiko and Pat where around there. I ended up on 13th (out of 15), which was about what I had to expect. But I could have done better, I really do hate red lights. :furious:
The challenge was interesting. Tom didn't make it in. Billy went out in the first round with a red light. It looked like it would be KC's day. He won the first round. Second round, he was behind after one run, then the other guy red lighted. Third run, he was behind after one run, then the other guy hit a cone. Fourth round (final 4), the other guy drove faster, but hit a cone in the first run. Then, with a one second lead... KC gets a 0.493 red light on his second run. :( Still, he took home $1000 in price money.

Hey I just wanted to say to some of the guys competing that I had a good time watching you guys tear it up. Keep up the hard/good work and good luck to all of you. Peaty it was cool to finally meet you and hummer thanks for letting me drive that beastly sti of yours.:D Next time we go let's try not to do 140mph the whole time ok some of the other guys had a hard time keeping up and could have gotten lost ;)
