Hello and welcome to yet another year of the SCCA Solo National Championships.
Despite all the naysayers, I'm ready to have a good time. How about you?
Who's going? Are you new? You ready to have some fun? What class are you in and what days do you run?
I'll start.
Hello. I'm KC, and I run a BS RX8 #66 on Tues/Wed. This is my 7th year at nationals, which started in '00 with my 2.5RS in STS.

Hello. I'm Brad and I run a WRX in STX (usually). This will be my first trip to nationals. Since my car is not nearly competitive enough yet and I can't get the first part of the week off to run STX, I'll be running STS instead. I will be running the #82 CrazyMonkeyRacing/Endless/Zzyzx 2.5RS of Billy Brooks on Thu/Fri.

I'm Jon, running in the [b]Zzyzx Motorsport/I-Speed/Dieman Motorsports/Tech Works[/b] '01 RS in STS #122 on Thurs/Fri.
This will be my 3rd nationals since starting in 2004 in STX.
My co-drive in STX for this season fell through shortly after the Arkansas National Tour as the car owner/builder decided to give up the sport, so I'm back in STS this year.
Looking forward to running on the new surface.

Hi, I'm Ed and I will be running the HEAVY metal car in CP this year (#63) :cool: . Locally (SFR SCCA) I have been running my WRX in STX the last few years, and ran last year at Nationals (first-timer!) in STS in a Civic (#78).

Hi, I'm Jen. Blue WRX, #177 STX. 3rd year at Nationals, but first year in open class (at least that's the plan!) Running the ProFinale Fri/Sat and Nationals Tues/Wed. We're staying till Saturday though, so if anyone needs a pit crew for Thursday/Friday, let us know and we'll try to help (assuming we aren't sleeping off the previous night's "ice cream trip" or already helping someone else at that time!)

I'm Jay, This will be my 5th attempt at a trophy in DSP. My first year was 2001 when we were slightly interrupted by world events (co-driver on the start line when all hell broke loose). Skipped 2004 due to a broken car. We'll be the 99/199DSP 2.5RS and staying all week. My goal is to trophy and not redesign any of the car's major functions in the days prior to the event.... :rolleyes:

Hi, I'm Jeff. This will be my first trip to Topeka. I will be drinking,... Uh, I mean driving car # 88 in the Pro and the Nationals. I'm hoping that two things will happen while I'm there. One, Tom Hoppe gives a guest appearance, so that he can prove that he is as good a drinker as he is a driver. Two, that Topeka is as fun as everyone says it is......
Ohh, almost forgot.... Three, to get Sorter so drunk the night before, that he blows chunks right there in his grid spot...:p
I hope I will not be dissapointed.
PS... Maybe that night that Sorter is gettin liquered up, we should all ask him to throw on that Cowboy outfit and six shooter and show us all a thing or two.

Hi, I'm Andy. I'll be in Topeka for my 4th Nationals. This year I'll be driving an E Stock Miata - my first year of not driving my own car. And certainly my first year of being beaten by my codriver. I'll be around on Tuesday afternoon through the end of the week.

Hello. I'm Billy. I will be running the Crazy Monkey Racing/Endless/ZZYZX #154 WRX in STX for both the Pro Finale (Fri/Sat) and Championship (Tues/Weds). I will be staying until saturday, to let two new Nationals competitors have a stab at a Championship in the RS in STS. This is my 6th year at nationals. Should be another fun year.

Phil Croy. Driving our Yokohama/StopTech/SoloRacer.com WRX #77 STX. 3rd trip to nationals, 3rd time to the ProFinale as well. I'm going to win a damn trophy this year, being the guy .011 out of the trophies sucks, and hope to pull my head out of my butt long enough to mess up the points standings in the Finale as well. As Jen pointed out we'll be there through Saturday to visit with friends and recover from hangovers.

Nah, don't have a chance, and right now the time off is more important. I'm going to Milan for a wedding the week after I get back from nationals, so vacation is dwindling rapidly..

I'm Karen, and I will be running someone else's Camaro Z28 in FS (hence, I'll be #72... or #172.... we'll decide later) on Tuesday/Wednesday. My first year at Nationals was 1997, in my Camaro Z28.
