I'm gonna make 3 initial designs. One aggressive, one less aggresive, one simple. I just finished an agressive front and rear bumper and aggressive side skirts. I'll scan tomorrow. These are just sketches. Then you guys can tell me what you would like changed. I'll do the simpliar ones tomorrow and try and get them scanned by wednesday.

Hey Pochebum, More power to you man! I'll definately would like to see a clean THICK look kit. Thick meaning thick sideskirts that would match a thick front bumper and rear.. hope you understand what i'm talking about... something that would improve aerodynamics in the sense of not letting air come through the bottom of the car...
| Pochebum | 06-25-2002 07:52 AM |
Hey, I can draw whatever you guys want. I'm not sure what you mean by thick sideskirts though. If you can get a picture of another "thick" sideskirt, post it, and tell me how you want it changed verbally I can do the best I can to match what you're talking about though. Any suggestions for front and back bumpers to are greatly appreciated. This thing can't be created on only my sense of style. We need 10 people to buy it

Try making a mix of the Zerosports kit and a black widow kit (on the honda's) see what that comes out like....but tone is down, and keep it smooth...
| Pochebum | 06-26-2002 05:49 AM |
Sorry I didn't post the pics today. I scratched the original ones. I want to make these look good from the start so I want to make sure it's what you want. You guys start posting pics of different stuff and say what you like about them. Discuss and come to some sort of conclusion about different peices. Lets start with the front bumper. Show some examples for me to work off of and say what you want changed or what you want from that peice put on.

I would definitely join in and even volunteer my car if it was feasible.
But I think it's going to be damn near impossible to have 10 people agree on a design that can be "custom" made. However, I guess if people start posting ideas, maybe we can come to some sort of a conclusion and have the best body kit around.

I definately agree, it will be tough to get 10 people to agree on a style, but here's a suggestion.. Why dont we start a new thread with the title "New Body Kit Design" or something of that sort. It should help all of the members unite and come up with a mutual idea.

suggestion - *THIS IS JUST A SUGGESTION* maybe something along the lines of the JDM "porsche inspired" design of the wagon.

something maybe towards that. just a suggestion to keep the ball rolling!

Aggressive sideskirts...they can/will match the front and rear bumper (on the design I'm doin now). If this is to aggressive then I can scratch these.
| Logan02 | 06-27-2002 07:56 PM |
If i had the supplies here I would pitch in with a scetch, but how about just a suggestion, ex.. Large center mouth for easy FMIC mounting. Lower lines shaped for directing the air from the ground, to up and over the wheels, coupled with integrated small slatted side vents. And if you really wanna make the side vents useful since the dynos have proven CAI's to be kinda pointless. Take a portion of the front fenderwell and remove it exposing the rotors to the back side of the bodykit, and design the side vents to scoop air over and across the brake rotors.
anyway, just a thought. I figure if we're gonna take the time to make it look good might as well make it as effective as possible too.
PeaCE LogaN.

Pochebum,
No offense or anything but that kit is waaayy to agressive and rice.. Try to make something Cleaner, less holes, less twists, something that would start off using the Stock Bumper, making it a little more agressive. Also make the sideskirts wide vertically, but plain.

Agreed about things being too aggressive, but THANK YOU FOR POSTING THOSE!!
That's the best way to get us started, since we're such an anal, picky bunch, we'll be more than glad to tell you what we DON'T want.
Those sketches were awesome, by the way, you have a real talent, and I think those designs, while not right for this crowd, were quite cool looking!
keep up the good work, and throw us more stuff to criticize :)

my idea was to make it resemble the Blitzen front bumper. big spaces on the side, and this bumper would replace the grill too. it would be one big piece. it's not really noticable, but it's as if the grill were flipped. and for the rear skirts, you could do something very similar the the OEM spats, but have it extend all the way around the bumper. as far as side skirts, i dunno... the painted stock ones look good to me..
the 3/4 view will look alot like the Porsche designed Euro kit (posted on page 1), with (IMO) a better looking grill, and no opening in the middle/top of the bumper. i think it gives a cleaner and also doesn't force the license plate to be really far down and akward looking.

[email protected] guys! I posted this and didn't think I would get any takers. I'm glad youreally like the idea. I think we should design two kits. One that is simple but better for FMIC and CAI. Then one that is crazy for the show cars. I will work on a design and post it in a couple of days. Remember though we still need a donar car and they get the free kit the rest have to pay upfront.
