[QUOTE=goto_racing]A few more pics to hold you guys over. All the magor fab work has been completed, the interior painted Subaru 33A, and some work was done on interior detail pieces. We really liked the look of the stock dash, so in keeping with the spirit of Grand-Am Cup "stockness", we decided to leave it and the center console in and integrate our switch panels into them. Of course, we had to use carbon fiber... Also added some spring retainers to the trunk, per the GA rules.
This week: exterior paint, other detail work.
Next week: fuel cell, suspension, all other bolt ons.

Yeah, after it is painted this week it goes up to LIC Motorsports to get the main wiring harness put back in. Then its time for fun with wires :). All the switches need to be installed along with the ADL2. Lots of work still, but all the dirty stuff is done.

We are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. All we have left is wiring harnesses, fuel cell and lines, and vinyl. We plan on testing at buttonwillow the 13,14, and 15th of January, then it's in the truck to Daytona.

Remember, we only have funding for 3 races thus far: Daytona, Laguna, and VIR 12 Hour in September. We want to run more races, but need the $$ support to do so. Anyone can help by bugging their local businesses into sponsoring. We are selling rights to the car on an individual event basis for this year to encourage sponsors to try us out and give them maximum exposure for that race. Spread the word if you want to see us at a GA race near you.

Grand-Am makes a stop at Limerock Memorial Day weekend. It seems as though I'm going to have to start knocking on dealership doors all winter. With the absence of WCTC at Limerock and the addition of GAC, I'd love to see your Legacy rip up the Cobalt's and such. What kind of funding woulld you need from a primary dealership sponsor? (ie, Subaru of Gwinett for Irish Mike) Also, benefits for them, placement of graphic and size on the car? I'm willing to do some legwork, it'd be fun after all.

Updates!
As of yesterday, the car is complete! It goes to the dyno this saturday. the unfortunate thing about that is, in order to make daytona, it needed to be in the hauler on it way through the california desert by saturday :(. Various supply issues paralyzed our efforts at the last minute and we were unable to get the a proper test run before it'd debut. In order to make sure we do Subaru and the Legacy justice, we decided that postponing it's Grand-Am debut would be the best choice. So Now we will spend the entire month of February testing at tracks near you, planning to debut the car at the USTCC opening round in March, followed by it's grand-am debut in April at VIR.
I know you all are dying to see pics with this update, but I am going to make you wait till this saturday to see if I can get some pictures of it actuallly on track.
Now that the build is over, we are all very excited to be the first to run a legacy in a pro series.

I figured that would please a few people who originally asked about VIR. We will try to not bend the car too bad at the USTCC opener so that it is nice and shiny for your cameras. ;)
Someone commented before how they would hate to tear apart a car to make race car. I hate almost hate to put this car in it's first race. It's just too pretty right now, something that inevitably changes when you start banging doors...

We finshed 90% of the vinyl work tonight. The car looks so hot! Assuming everything goes well on the dyno this saterday, we will be out at Leguna Seca on Sunday.
Tried to get some decent pics of the car tonight, but we need daylight to really do it justice. Monday at the lastest.

These have been long awaited. We finally decided to put some pics up here, because Legacy fans have been waiting so patiently. We are still having fun working around the immobilizer, but after another trip to Gruppe-S tommorow, we should have it figured out.
Not all the vinyl is on yet, mainly because we are still talking with sponsors, but this is about what the car will look like when finished. Note the WRX in the background is also getting a face lift to our new design scheme. We plan to bring a two fisted Subaru sandwich to USTCC this year! (and of course our Grand-Am legacy plans). But without further ado... THE PICS!:

I hope we make it to VIR as well. We want to go, but it is a matter of $$$ and time. We are running both cars in USTCC this year, and that is already very time consuming and the season hasn't even started yet.
We will keep you all up to date of our schedule.
