My whole body would hurt
donjuan 07-31-2001 01:31 PM

My whole body did hurt from just watching it...
J Colman 07-31-2001 01:39 PM

Poor old Burti
donjuan 07-31-2001 01:44 PM

speaking of crashes....

I bet King Schumi is glad the August break is here. 2 pretty big crashes in 2 weeks would make me wanna sit out for a couple days.

I kinda hope he wins at Hungary and wraps it up so maybe DC will shut the hell up. Then after that....

RALF SWEEPS SPA, MONZA, INDY!!!

Then big brother should win at Suzuka...
J Colman 07-31-2001 01:46 PM

Sounds good to me, DC is a big time baby. I hate how he always has something to say about the outcome. The only time he shuts it, is when he wins one.
donjuan 07-31-2001 01:48 PM

 MAE, SHUT IT!!!!

You're right though...would you like a little cheese with your whine there DC??? :)
Fred Zaplitny 07-31-2001 07:49 PM

Don't you guys realize Montoya is going to go on a tear and win out the rest of the season. It will be the greatest comeback in all of sports. He will take the championship after his tie in the points with Michael is settled using the new FIA chili dog eating contest tie-breaker rule. You'll see, that skinny German can only eat 3 on a good day. JPM can pack them babies away like nobody's business. He'll have 5 gone before Schumi has his first done.

:D
J Colman 07-31-2001 09:20 PM

Bwwwwwaaahhhhhaaaaaahhhhhaaaaa

J Colman 08-01-2001 09:15 AM

Does this thread end now, or should be keep BS'ing in this one for another week. I cant believe this is a three week break. They only have to go next door to get to Hungary.

J
donjuan 08-01-2001 09:19 AM

I guess we have to keep bs-ing, because the testing ban is on, so there isn't even that to talk smack about.

Uhhh...I guess Alesi is gonna take over HHF's Jordan and Zonta will fill in at Prost. From what I read Alesi was driving without pay because Prost is hurting so bad moneywise. Zonta and Burti...watch out...

I like Jean Alesi...been doing it a LONG time...
J Colman 08-01-2001 09:38 AM

Yeah, he is cool. I hope he can regain some of his form, these could be his last days
donjuan 08-01-2001 09:55 AM

I would imagine he'd keep driving outside of F1, but I guess you never know. He's a good driver, so I'm glad to see him get a better drive, it'd be cool to see him on a podium this year...
J Colman 08-01-2001 10:02 AM

I once saw a show about him and he has this sweet house in France. Then they moved on to his garage and he grought out his Ferrari F40 and showed it off for a while, took the guy for a ride. After that he was telling this story about Martini asking him to do a commercial for them. He did and at the end of filming they let him choose between being payed in cash or taking one of the Lancia Delta Integrale Martini Rally cars, he took the car. That bad boy was awesome. It was a cool show. I think he also has a big Benz.

Cool

Must be rough to see a car you like and just buy it, regardless of what it is...

Does anyone know how I can reach Eddie Jordan?? I need to make an appointment with him....
donjuan 08-01-2001 10:05 AM

please PLEASE PLEASE let me sit in that car...
J Colman 08-01-2001 10:09 AM
Following his victory at his home grand prix in Germany this past weekend Williams driver Ralf Schumacher has realised that he is in with a shot, and a very good one, of finishing the Drivers' Championship in second place. While Ralf has already conceded that this year's World Championship title is going the way of his brother Michael for the fourth time, he has vowed that he will fight for the runner-up title.

At the moment Ralf is on 41 points in the championship, just six behind McLaren driver David Coulthard who presently occupies second place. While Ralf has won three grand prix's this season, Coulthard has won only two, however the unreliability of the Williams and it's inconsistent performances based on the nature of the track the teams are competing on have let the German down. But the battle for second place is not just between Ralf and Coulthard. Ferrari's Rubens Barrichello is just one point behind Ralf, meaning that the fight is very much a three way battle and with five races remaining in the season there are still plenty of points to play for.

One of the reasons Ralf is confident that he can finish runner-up to his brother is because while Williams have gone from strength to strength this season, McLaren appear to have lost their way a bit. At one stage this year Coulthard was a mere four points behind Michael and fighting the championship, but now the Scotsman is a hefty 37 points behind the Ferrari ace, and is fighting to retain his second place in the championship.

Ralf said: "There's a good chance for me to take second place in the World Championship, especially after this weekend. McLaren, especially David, seem to be in a little bit of a problem at the moment, and we should be able to make use out of it. That should be our goal now."

J Colman 08-01-2001 01:54 PM

It's called a choke, Ralf.
donjuan 08-01-2001 01:55 PM

BAAAHAHAHAHAHA...i guess he was just trying to be polite :)

J Colman 08-01-2001 02:02 PM

That would have been great if he just came out with it.

"Dat English idiot choked it, like he alvayz duz".
donjuan 08-01-2001 02:05 PM

You're right that would be hilarious.
J Colman 08-01-2001 02:16 PM

DC would be pissed if someone said that to him, because it is so true. He probably knows it himself, but he likes to blame it on other things. If I was in F1, I would call him out, that would be good psychological warfare. Ralf should put it to use.
donjuan 08-01-2001 02:21 PM

I bet Mika really has to hold his tongue sometimes. He's such a comedian anyway, I bet he's got lots of stuff he'd like to say about DC...
J Colman 08-01-2001 03:05 PM

I'd love to know some of the stuff DC has said, youre right, I bet Mika knows a lot.
gtguy 08-01-2001 10:20 PM

Luciano Burti on his car becoming a Learjet after running over the back of M. Schumacher:

"I think it looked worse on TV than what I experienced in my car."
 Damn!

SpinAll4 08-03-2001 02:41 PM

This thread can not DIE!

There are still plenty of things to talk about, like Berger coming to Juan's defense by saying that JustPlainDoggie'eatin didnt do anything wrong in the way he drove his car. JPM didnt use more revs etc.

Chili was just plain stomping everyone, including Ralfie.

This thread must stay on the first page of the leaderboard!

:) :) :)
J Colman 08-03-2001 02:44 PM

I agree, racers push all the time, why should Chili dogs car break down just cause he was pushing. I think it was just bad luck, and I think Ralf was talkin bull because he just likes to think he won on his own terms. Chili Dog was outshinin him and he was probably pissed.

Zahnster 08-03-2001 06:56 PM

So on to Spa:

JPM gets poll.
Leads race from start to last pit stop and them his third wheel comes off shortly after leaving the pit.

DC crashes into Ralf

Micheal wins it.
Fred Zaplitny 08-04-2001 04:36 PM

Spa?

Spa?! Aren't you forgetting a little race they'll be having in Hungary? Anyway, that's for another thread. This is the Hockenhiem thread, so posts should only pertain to Hockenhiem, pit babes (pics please!), John's Westie, what a baby DC is, chili dogs, and pretty much anything else except the next race. That must be started at another thread, I believe it's an unwritten law. :D
