The real answer is; looks good, and make's it so red light camera's don't get your plate number. Used in the land of the rising for guys who do top speed runs or what not so when your going threw a tunnel, cam's don't get you for 200 mph. :D
Some one jump in if I'm wrong.

I got mine at Autozone just a few days ago. $7.?? so I rounded it to $8.00 so somebody doesnt go there with $7 and then come back and say it was $8.
I was at a show and someone told me they got theirs for like $50, looks just like the $8 so they either thought it was a secret or they actually paid $50 for it.
Whatever the case only $8 at Autozone. Linky to picture my wife took last night.

So I don't see why these plate frames aid in getting away with red light tickets.
If anything it prevents the plate from being bent and directing air...

It looks really good on my car, but I noticed the inside of the allen bolts already rusting, I will apply some naval jelly after I get back home, that will stop the rust.
I have had it on for a couple weeks no other problems.
Glad I could help you find them. ( affordably)

I just went to my local autozone and grabbed the last one. It was $8.99 though. :( Not too bad at all for the price. It came with some ginormous screws to mount it, but I'm not about to make the license plate holes bigger, I'll just use the ones I got. I wouldn't mind powdercoating it black though.
I'll get pics up in a bit.

Well, for me at least in california... The CHP "street legal" pamphlet says "lack of front and rear DMV issued plates" is illegal. My front plate is on, its just not visible at some angles.

At a distance they can see it, it is on, and if it becomes an issue use " it was straight when I left until something come uo and hit it", it would work for a while.
I have not been pulled for it, now my wife got pulled for hers being on the dash. We bought her OSW in Alabama and they did not have front plates, so when we moved here I didnt even have holes in the bumper. She got stopped because the plate was in the front window. The find I find odd is he was behind her, how did he know she didnt have a front plate, he only knew it when he approached the car and saw it on the dash,

Someone already posted pictures of it..... that's the one I got. Fit nicely. Just kind of difficult getting the hinges loose at first to adjust them.
Haha I was thinking about selling them too, if people will actually buy them for $50. Other forums here I come.

If you have time to surf the web and find a company that makes them I will try to help you out.
Somewhere I have an Alabama plate if I can find it I can throw that in your package. I used to have a nice race truck and the old plates made good shifter trim.
PM me when you find everything you are working for, I dont mind helping fellow enthusiasts anywhere, never know someday I may need a favor.
I have given away plenty of o-rings and even the stock subaru stereo to fellow members.
Cheers to you also

Its insane how much some aluminum and bolts costs from a JDM Company compared to Autozone. I guess outsourcing isn't working in our favor after all. Autozone who gets them from Bell is located in Costa Mesa, CA. Now can somebody tell me why the STi Fender brace or JDM Spats cost so much?

They're actually a little different... the Bell one is 3 piece with two hinges while the actual jDM DorIFito one is 2 piece with one hinge. It's very little difference and I'd rather have the imitation one and $42 more in my pocket.
