Great idea guys. I just finished reading the entire thread and I must say that there is alot of support out there. I personally think it can be done. Everyone needs to stick together and realize that its for fun and for the good of our Subaru community and no self glory should come from this because the only way this was possible was by the TEAM working together.
Is there any way we can get a pole out that is only visible to Nasioc.com members? Or better yet members that have contributed to the build. The pole should detail what mods/driver/tuner/place of build. This way we can get somewhere w/out everybody seeing thats not a part of the site.
We shouldn't hold off on our ideas until we find out if we are on or not. This is just putting us further behind. The more we know and have done the better? We can at least know what direction we want to head in.
I use to be a DSM'er and I still have one to be quite honest(actually i'm trying to sell it). They're good powerplants. With about $2000 into my build I was able to beat Sti's pretty good. This was on a stock motor and 50 trim turbo with supporting mods running at 21 psi. I just went to TurboTrix today to get a looksee at what is going to the event tomorrow. The TTR STi is looking good and should be running tomorrow :D

hey guys, i talked to nate on the phone about an hour ago. here is the deal. i explained to him who we are and what we would like to do. he is all for it. he wants to know if we, the car, are willing to travel any where in the country. i said yes. he doesnt have any venues set yet for the 2nd half of season 4. but if we are willing to travel then we are in and wait to hear where we run. cars for season 4 must run at least a 10.9!!! on monday nate is calling me in the morning and if everything is still good on my side then he said a meeting with rich and nate and me would take place. nate seemed pretty excited about the idea of a forum getting together to do this. one of the big things with the decision is whats going to be done with the cars if we win. nate and more importantly rich are tired of the charity donation thing. so to be fair i thought that we could maybe take the list of people who donated time, money and parts and have a raffle. well something to think about. i will keep you guuys updated as i hear from nate and rich. lets keep this going and please guys if its not positive or constructive then shutup. next week depending on how monday goes i would like to maybe set up a meeting with a few tristate guys that are serious and toss some ideas around and get things organized.

I doubt you're going to get any official support from Nick on something he won't be directly involved with. The mods are independent of NASIOC, you won't see anything from them supporting this, representing NASIOC.

It'll never be completely fair, no doubt. But I wouldn't want to stake my car and/or a lot of hard work on something that could basically be decided by a technicality. The 240Z/Monte Carlo episode comes to mind, that was bull****.

to get on this negotiation talk... i've seen a few show scenerios where one team wanted 10 and the other wanted heads up, they both stuck their ground and then the pinks guy (i forgot his name, so many names going around this thread lol) said 3 LENGTHS... let's do THREE LENGTHS and they went from that... so from my understanding of watching the show if they don't reach a decision, a decision is made for you...

to get on this negotiation talk... i've seen a few show scenerios where one team wanted 10 and the other wanted heads up, they both stuck their ground and then the pinks guy (i forgot his name, so many names going around this thread lol) said 3 LENGTHS... let's do THREE LENGTHS and they went from that... so from my understanding of watching the show if they don't reach a decision, a decision is made for you...
my money is still up... i think i'll up my donation from 5 to 10 :) i'm a lowly college student who loves NASIOC so come on guys more donation pledges! :)

as of right now there are 2 options if we do indeed win the car
1) sell its put half into the sight half back into the car
2) have a raffle and raffle it off to people on nasioc
