interesting... did not know that...
Do you offer discounts on combo orders? Like if I were to get 3-6 different gauges or same price?

The performance series does not come with the daisy chain option, you can run all red wires together, all black wires together, etc..

so you are saying i only need to run one wire or just that i can run all of them to the same spot? can i twist all the reds together and make one connection with it? same for the black, orange, and white as well?

Now what. My Oil pressure just stops working. Needle is stock in between 30 31 psi and jerking. Is that meaning my oil pressure sensor is bad or what? Initial sweep on beginning looks ok and I have no warning whats so ever. I thing I bought this from Ultimate CC vendor here on NASIOC and I hate to take that sensor off and not driving my car and wait for replacement because I dont have anything to plug in that hole in my oil sandwich adapter. Any help?

Yes that is correct (twist them all together)-all to the same spot.

I love my Prosport electric boost gauge! Pretty easy to install if you are comfortable working with the wires.
| kirbwrx | 09-20-2007 02:46 PM |
am i going to need more wires or is the length provided enough? hope this isnt a bumb question, but i know it says black wire to batt ground...can i just ground it anywhere? same for the power, just find somewhere where there is a constant power like the lighter element? also is there any other place to put the egt sensor besides tapping the manifold? can i put it where the uppipe one is since my ap defeated that cel?
| Prosport Gauges | 09-20-2007 03:19 PM |
You did not specify which gauge you had, preformance gauges do NOT go direct to 12v constant. Just follow the directions with the gauges. But if you have premium then yes, any 12v constant source is fine.
Yes ground is ground anywhere on the car.
Yes you can put the egt probe in the up pipe.

yes you can

I just ordered a boost and oil pressure gauge. For my oil pressure gauge I was planning on using the spot under the intercooler. I also ordered the adapter from fastwrx.com. Is the Prosport sender small enough to be able to fit in this spot?

I want to install the Electrical Boost Gauge, temp gauge and the Electrical Digital Air/Fuel Ratio &Volt Gauge. I dont have a clue where to begin or and Idea of where they should go. Do you think I should get a pro to do this work? And I wonder how much will it cost?
| Prosport Gauges | 09-22-2007 03:25 PM |
They are not hard to install. You will nedd an oil galley plug or oil filter adaptor to install the sender for the oil temp gauge. I know their are a few install tutorials on this forum to help you along with the instructions that come with them.
| Tim Maryak | 09-22-2007 05:39 PM |
Just got the electric premium boost gauge in. I'm planning on installing it alone on the steering column. Is it easiest to just run the wires from the gauges to the four wires coming off of the clock? It seems like it has the four necessary for install easily accessible. Otherwise any threads of interest showing how to get to the necessary wires near the steering column.
| Tim Maryak | 09-23-2007 09:28 PM |
Nevermind I got it all installed today. The gauge works great. Only thing I would recommend is increasing the length of the instrument wire. I had maybe 10" of wire. Definitely had to solder some extra length in. Also, I had a brass colored looking bracket in my kit. I wasn't sure what it was for?
| Prosport Gauges | 09-24-2007 07:16 AM |
Thanks for the tip.
The brass U-Bracket is used to secure the gauge into the dash. It mounts from behind and keep the gauge tight in the dash/pod.

Ahh well it seems fine as is, but I'll keep that in mind. I'm so happy I bought this gauge and didn't spend 2x or 3x more on defi's...

Got my gauges from Ultimate CC a month or so ago. Everything works great, except the boost gauge reads 1-1.5psi low. Also one thing I figured out incase it hasn't been posted here, is that if you want to reset the peak on a premium gauge:
Press the peak button so it goes into peak mode
Hold the peak button until it starts flashing
Wait until it stops flashing and goes back into normal mode

How can you say the gauge works great if it does not read the correct amount? That is the whole point.
Is this normal/common for the electrical Prosports? I had another brand of gauge that looked very similar that also read incorrectly. A second gauge and sender showed a similar problem on my car (also off, but the other way). Am I going to have that same problem here?

This has been addressed before...
Also the previous question was regarding Mechanical boost-you quoted a Electrical boost question/comment. Apples and oranges.
Keep in mind the boost gauges reads relative pressure..meaning where you are in the world will affect your reading.

OK, I have looked into this and it can be done. I need a few things. This will be a fully custom order and more than likely I will make only three gauges. Boost, OP, EGT -? (taking suggestions)
I see you are in Tampa?? I am going to need to see-or better yet get a sample of the pointer so I can match the color. Anyone have or can get me one??
