Is it possible to turn off the loud beep that these gauges make upon start-up?
I'd like to be able to stop them from doing this forever.
Thanks
Push and hold the button, start car, wait until the ceremony is over, release button. (No more Beep).

Also my other question is I bought one premium gauge the boost gauge and performance for the oil pressure and egt, now can those still be daisy linked together?

49er -no, the daisy link can only be used with Premium Series gauges.

yes, push the button down-THEN start car. If it does not work for you then you have the gauge wired wrong. The Red wire MUST have constant 12v power in order to retain the memory.

Because it cannot retain the setting if the red wire is not hooked up to constant power. Each time you turn off your car it has to be reset, because it looses power. Please just follow the directions and hook up the Red wire to 12v constant. call us if you need futher help. 727-572-9011

Just installed my gauges and im pleased with them very much. I even used the Sandwhich adapter on my 2007. People said it wouldnt fit but i got mine too. Was very tight dont get me wrong, But a lil bending of a heat shield and taking off the coolant line and testing really paid off IMO.

Their shipping is ridiculously fast... got my elec boost gauge today, and had it in like 2 hours later. Did a little research about which wires to tap for the colors I want, put in the tubing and viola.
question is.... my newbness needs confirmation that its working right. It runs in vacuum almost all the time, idling, moving with no load, and moving without the turbo spooling. Now obviously that is all normal stuff, but shouldn't it be at zero when I am on the gas? and then it goes above zero when the turbo spools? As it is now, it is like -10 before the turbo spools, and then climbs up to around 10-15 under hard throttle normally. I think it peaked at 19 (i'm most of stg2 and protuned to cap at 19psi so that makes sense). This all correct?
On to another question, i will ultimately be mounting it on the steering column like was shown a few pages ago, is that deep long cylinder a custom peice?

Sounds about right to me. You won't necessarily see zero just because you are on the throttle. It depends on the load. Also, gauges measure pressure in relation to the atmosphere 0 psi gauge is 14.7 psi actual.

Two questions:
I'm looking for a wideband gauge in red or amber. Prosport hasn't released theirs yet so I don't know if I'm going to wait or not. Does anyone sell a red one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?
Also, does anyone make a dual bezel pod that fits '06 models? I bought one off of ebay and it's too small. I also heard that the Autometer bezel pod doesn't fit '06 either eventhough they advertise them as fitting '06's.
I currently have the Prosport Premium boost gauge.

I've responded to you with all the information that I have. If the person with "dibs" on the gauge keeps telling me "yea, hold them. Give me one more day!" then how many PM's would you like me to send you? I told you I will keep you informed and that you have dibs if this does not fall through. I will PM the potential buyer one more time and if I cannot get a straight answer, the gauge is yours. I'm not dodging you, I just don't see the point in repeatedly sending you the same PM's. Don't take it personal, I've been in your situation many times. I don't like it any more than you do. I promise I will have an answer for you by the end of the week.

do most of you guys with STi's use the gauges white in the daytime and amber at night? At first this was my plan but with the dashboard being amber all the time i opted for 100% amber on the gauge as well, but it makes it harder to read during the day time.
thoughts?
also, i am still very curious about a deep cylinder to mount the gauge in on my steering column, especially if i opt to not get the other gauges. All ive seen on the prosport site is a mounting bracket that would expose the back, and deep cups that have a mounting point built in which is uneccesary for what I want. Should I just fab what i need?

yes it will. it fits perfectly. i have that set up right now. and the gauges are amber all the time, it does get washed out by the light but to the point you can't read anything. the coloring isn't quite there, but it's still readable.

What are some things I might need for gauges that consist of Boost, EGT, and Oil PSI?
| 49erRider | 06-10-2007 07:34 AM |
I just did those three gauges yesterday, and for the boost everything you need comes in the box, I used a different t fitting and hosing but the one in the box will work just fine. For the EGT you will need to have your sensor installed, you can drill and tap it into the manifold but I just had mine welded in on the downpipe right behind the turbo. And for the oil pressure I used there sandwich adapter and sender. Let me know if you have any questions.
| wrx wolf | 06-10-2007 09:53 AM |
I installed EGT and Boost gauges in an Autometer bezel. They are wired to the clock. I think they look awesome and I'm constantly getting complemented. These are great, especially for the price!
My camera doesn't work well in the dark, but you get the idea. The gauges are a little bright at night and the pic shows the stock gauges at full brightness. After the first week, I barely notice anymore though.
Anyway, take a look...

I didn't install the metal filter, but my gauge is reporting fine. Isn't it only necessary if the gauge is fluttering?
