richde 03-18-2007 03:59 PM

The link works, just can't find it by searching.

Whoever finds the other episodes (after they air), could you, would you, post the linkage here?

After watching that, I now know why Lapworth is out of a job on SWRT.

Nice program. Pretty objective.

I watched it, I'd love to see this covering the whole season, not just one event. Great show though.
Ghosthound 03-19-2007 08:15 PM

amukaoen 03-20-2007 03:56 PM

w the hell...

access denied for me. "limited to 3 downloads a week" I've only downloaded one thing from there. Grrrr... and registration is closed to.
amukaoen 03-20-2007 04:35 PM

Okay okay.. get this

"Monte Carlo has everything... snow, ice, gravel, tarmac, dry, wet, EVERYTHING, and normally we have the WRONG TIRES" -Petter Solberg (before the race)

Edited : for spoilers
DougM 03-20-2007 04:44 PM
Okay okay.. get this

"Monte Carlo has everything...
my two cents: we might do the people that haven't downloaded the episode yet a favor by abstaining from discussing the content (specifics).... other than to say "get it, you'll be glad!" ;)
Ghosthound 03-20-2007 05:26 PM

demonoid is giving me problems now... :furious:
IronMonkeyL255 03-20-2007 07:59 PM

Just watched the discovery channel show.

Very interesting. I really need to keep better track of rally stuff. I kinda lost track when they stopped showing it on Speed.....
Psychopat 03-20-2007 10:32 PM

Speed sucks torrents rules
DougM 03-21-2007 12:58 AM

...I'm having bad luck with these torrents... episode 2 has been going for 3 hours and I'm under 10% downloaded... episode 1 took over 6 hours..

thoughts?
epicbard 03-21-2007 02:02 AM

If you are not registered on Demonoid, then you have a limit of 3 torrent downloads per week.
polaris 03-21-2007 02:37 AM

that shouldnt affect download rate though for a torrent he allready has going.

If you use this program check http://www.utorrent.com/setup_guide.php for some help. There is a lot of technical crap that you can tweak to speed things up.
LastResort 03-21-2007 08:59 AM
I watched it, I'd love to see this covering the whole season, not just one event. Great show though.
You idiot. IT IS a whole series of shows, not just one event.

On a side note, I have both, still looking for a way of hosting them. Mega upload?
Butt Dyno 03-21-2007 09:48 AM

This is great TV. With S-video out on the laptop it's even better than TiVo.
darknightohio 03-21-2007 09:50 AM

For those you cannot get the torrent to work, subaru-impreza.de looks like they will have the 2nd episode up shortly:

If by great, you meant gut wrenchingly heartbreaking, then yes. :(
pete_falcone 03-21-2007 11:38 AM

Finally, a torrent with lots of seeders.

<-- using Azureus.
Thanks. It's well seeded too. 400kB/s FTW!
How do you manage that? i only get 75 with utorrent on cable.
epicbard 03-21-2007 09:09 PM

Wow, just wow. After watching episode 2 I learned so much, and a lot of stuff I did not know. Where can we find such comprehensive information on todays season? This was more exciting than watching the WRC recap of the daily events. It just proves how inept the WRC people are at conveying to the public the excitement and drama of their sport. (Or maybe it just those eurovision recaps that we are able to get on torrent... i dunno)
chudlo 03-21-2007 11:28 PM

I have tried all of the links but still get the error message about 3 downloads.

Man, I want to see this.
Jay911 03-21-2007 11:38 PM

Forget the torrents and go here.. this site has a Rapidshare-like setup. You can only download one file at a time, but it only took about an hour all-told on the T1 to get them both (so far).

bxracer69 03-22-2007 12:41 AM

WOO HOO WRC to watch
nate49509 03-22-2007 03:22 AM

Just finished watching. What a great show. I can't wait for the next episodes. I love seeing all the behind the scenes stuff.
How do you manage that? i only get 75 with utorrent on cable.
I dunno. I always have great download rates if its well seeded. It was cruising at 300 and peaking at 400. I'm also using utorrent. I do have uploads capped at 15 while I'm downloading though.
KRL 03-22-2007 10:58 AM

What an awesome show!! Can you imagine their budget is 50 million Euros a year ? The gearbox is 100,000 Euros itself and the car is 600,000+ Euros or is it pounds? Amazing....

Second thing that is amazing is that the team just keeps failing. I would understand if the parts fail once or twice. But when David (is that the Director's name?) swaps the gearbox once and then switches it back again and the new one fails and Petter is unable to complete the race - how crazy is that? What an idiot!!

Pretty much the whole show focuses on Petter. I wish they would focus a little bit more on Chris (maybe 10% more) because he is knew and inexperienced.

5 stars on the show..
Jaxx 03-22-2007 11:19 AM

dam what an awesome show ..
Jay911 03-22-2007 05:09 PM

IMO this is an outstanding show. If anything is needed in North America to show people what rally is about, this is it. Spending time explaining pacenotes and showing in-car views (the segment right after the narrator said "They all speak one language.. Rally!") was exactly what a non-rally-fan needs to understand the nature of the sport.

I'm surprised that Subaru would agree to let this series run, considering the train wreck that was the 06 season. Maybe it's just considered to be "good TV". I wouldn't care if it was about Subaru, or Ford, or Skoda, though - getting inside WRC this deeply is a treat that should not be missed!
chimchimm5 03-22-2007 05:23 PM

And as stupid as vast number of the American public may be, there are a alot who aren't quite so stupid. And a lot of them watch Discovery channel and would love WRC, if they don't already.

Geez, Discovery USA, just show it at like 1 am or something!!!
nate49509 03-22-2007 05:54 PM

I could care less if the rest of America see's it. These days I with internet/torrents/broadband I watch what I want when I want. The TV is an antique.
heet 03-22-2007 06:27 PM

They need to bump off on of those idiot "Extreme Mega Machines" or "World's Biggest Dumptruck" programs and put this doc on. I'm sick of hearing about how "Mr. Srosgaard is a natural at the controls of Finland's most powerful crane!" or whatever.
mykrrrr 03-22-2007 06:30 PM

Anyone using a Mac have a torrent driver (not sure if that's the correct geek speak term...doubt it but oh well) that's fast? I'm using Tomato Torrent and it's hella slow.
DougM 03-22-2007 07:04 PM
I could care less if the rest of America see's it.
well, what if rally were to become popular here??? what if we had our own rally series that attracted (on a regular basis) international teams, drivers and media coverage? what if the WRC stopped by to play on occasion??

that wouldn't be so bad would it?
shadyrex 03-22-2007 07:32 PM

I just finished the second episode. I want the rest of them now!!!
It really fills in alot of the blanks as to what happened and why with all of Solbergs problems/issues that season.
nate49509 03-22-2007 07:46 PM

You kind of missed my point. I would love to see rally here in the states grow. Although it's doing pretty well on its own right now, even without the WRC (X-Games). Even if it didn't grow I would still have as much fun going to them as I have the last 7yrs. My statement was more aimed at the people who control what get to see on TV.
nate49509 03-22-2007 07:49 PM
No doubt. I can't belive they pulled out a perfectly fine transmission to put in one that had broke earlier in the day. Lapworth takes a lot of unnecessary risks in my opinion.
DougM 03-22-2007 07:58 PM
You kind of missed my point.
fair enough ;)

and yeah, Lapworth really does come across as one of them power-grubbing managerial types... (which I'm sure he earned after 17 years in the business.... but still....)
LastResort 03-22-2007 09:25 PM

Sounds like Lapworth has been left behind by engineering, coordination, and team management skills.
