Keep in mind, Matt, that just because a race starts dry that doesn't mean it will be dry the entire time. I've had multiple races in my other two games that have started dry, and then gotten wet, sometimes for the rest of the race, sometimes just for the middle of the race. I'll send you some tire selection notes.

Did anyone else's car settings get screwed up last A1GP race? I had my car almost figured out, but then the weather changed and everything was screwed up. Now they're still missed up for the full-length feature race.

But practice was dry, qualifying was dry, warmup was damp, and race was dry. Why should I change my setup for damp when the race is bone dry?

Oh and just to be sure I'm not missing anything...is there a page that will show you where on your lap you are slow like high speed/low speed corners, trap speed ect? That would be great to make real educated guesses about your laps.

Damn the crashing / mistakes really messes things up. I had 5 laps left in A1GP for warmup i think and i crashed and it ate all 5 laps. :furious:

I didn't realize that only warm up was damp. I had rain in qualifying in another series and used the wet/dry tool, I took the pole. Then the race was dry so I used it again and finished 2nd. Not bad I think.

I just realized that I did something stupid. I imagine now that 75% of us probably picked Indy for our home race... as I did. I probably wasted my home race advantage, but on the same token it'll probably be one of the most exciting rounds of the season.

This game just isnt going my way, I finally get a sorted car (2nd fastest lap) and I wreck on the first lap and later have a 25sec pit stop. On the bright side I made 18passes and knocked a ferrari out of the final points spot :lol:

It really is weird how the "randomness" of the games works out. Obviously the Ferraris are doing quite well in this private game. In my other private game I'm in a McLaren, I think my teammate and I are 2nd or 3rd in the Manufacturer's championship. In my first public game, I've put the Super Aguri on the podium at the last two races (3rd and 2nd - and I was closing by nearly a second a lap on 1st in that one!). In the second public game I joined I got a BMW Sauber and figured that would be a step up. In actuality, I've been able to do just about nothing with the car. The poke in the eye today was that I qualified 22nd - "mechanical, car stuck in pits" - never even got a run in qualifying! :mad:
And of course neither of my "teammates" in my two public games does anything. My BMW teammate turned 1 practice lap at the first race, and hasn't done anything since. My SA teammate never even did that much. Cocks.

Yeah, Im doing way better with a torro rosso and a Red Bull in my public F1 games. Its not stuff going wrong that bugs me, its that it seems to happen every race in this nasioc league. Oh well, its a long season.

Man, I'm just glad I finally finished an event... with points to boot. I set all of my 'Driving Style' settings to zero for Monte Carlo and wasn't horribly slow like I was expecting, even though I did drop from P2 to P7 (most of which was bad pit strategy though.. I think I only got passed twice).
