You might need that for your own car... :p
I don't think a puny 5MT would last long in Phil's car.... ;)

Just noticed a new entry in STX...

24 Kim, Chang Ho Maynard, MA 89 Honda Civic SI White FunHondas Racing

The ante just got upped.
solo-x 08-24-2004 03:53 PM

ya know, ante is how i usually type my name at the end of my posts...

hey keith, if you stop being a wussy man you could come up north to NHIS and see the grape ninja's latest creation in person. i'm hoping to get in the drivers seat once myself. you boys thought it was bad when an STS 89 civic was playing in "X", how about an STX prepped 89 civic playing in "X"?? quaife is g00t!!

ante, er, nate

BARN!!!!!!....the both of you

(disgruntled NER STX driver .....soon to be ESP)
TeamSlowdotOrg 08-24-2004 08:04 PM

Quaife ist sehr gut.

I'm not even sure if it's a German company or not, but Germans agree, they're good.

I might be in X for nats too. Right now I'm registered in SM because I just can't miss that whole week of classes. If I can get my hands on a steering wheel, flywheel, Azenis and some new fender liners you boys better watch your asses...you know...because my car is slower than a 1-legged dog compared to an STX WRX. :p

Run/work order is out. STX will open the show on the South Course. Bring the dirt tires! ;)
ratt_finkel 08-27-2004 05:55 PM

Damn, I really wish I could go. But have neither the tires nor the time:(

Anyone want to lend me some Hoosiers?

Yea, I would hate to have FWD (or not have that sweet from Quaife front diff that I have) on the South Course.

-Tom
stxwrxracer 08-29-2004 01:23 PM

Hey, its 10:49am...aren't u supposed to be in Norfolk?

-Mike
TeamSlowdotOrg 08-29-2004 05:54 PM

You guys can brush off the course for me in SM. Unless some foolish fool wants to let me drive his car in some other class, then you can clean the line for that class.
Yea, I would hate to have FWD (or not have that sweet from Quaife front diff that I have had in my WRX all year) on the South Course.
Hmm 4 seconds off the pace will be my guess

-Tom
Hmmmm......

let's see Tom, 4 seconds, right ?

How about 1.3 secs over 2 days >AND< rain ?
jcroy66 09-16-2004 08:49 AM

Ugh, was it really necessary to bring this argument back up? I thought we'd let this nasty argument die...

FWIW, while Tom didn't say so, I have presumed Tom's "4 seconds off the pace" remarks corresponded to Toby's perceived standing, given Toby's "4 seconds off the pace" performances at prior events this year. And well, as a matter of fact, Toby actually ended up 4.4 seconds off the pace.

So still faster than me. :D
trhoppe 09-16-2004 09:27 AM

 did we already not talk about the laughing smiley there????

Karl did some good driving setting the pace early both days! They are both pretty cool guys :)
"...reluctantly crouched at the starting line, engines pumping and thumping in time...the green light flashes, the flags go up, churning and burning, they yearn for the cup..."

Can you have your "CAKE" and eat it too?
Yes... But is he living Comfort Eagle and calling you "Dude!"?
