wait, are you saying that you already have the MX's, and they aren't as sticky as your falkens? or are you saying you were thinking of looking at the MX's in 245's but decided not to?

anyone else with mx's:
thanks for the opinions, keep 'em coming! [/B][/QUOTE]

I don't have the MX tires. Considering the dimensions of the 225/ azenis, I wonder if the extra tire width is worth the effort. I have been very impressed with the grip that azenis drivers have, even in the wet.

Another consideration for me is the fact that my co-driver is willing to pay for half the cost of the azenis, it's an easy decision to make when your under employed.

I have the MX 245/40-17 on a 7.5" wheel. I've driven 245/40-17 BFGs on a 7.5" wheels and Azenis 225/45-17 on a 7.5" wheels.
I suspect the wheel bearing went out from my stiff suspension, stiff tires, hard driving, many AutoX events, some track events, and 41k miles. To be honest, I'm surprised that is the only thing I have broken so far <knock on wood>.
I plan on trying the MXs again this Sunday at a local AutoX. Granted, the surface is crap so I won't be pushing the tires to the limit.
But, I think MXs may not even work on good concrete unless you want to run above 51psi.
At the moment, I'm leaning toward Azenis in 225 being a better tire then the MX in 245. They MX look cool though. :) BUT, this could be because I'm use to AutoXing on the BFGs and I haven't run the Azenis in a while. So, take my opinion with a grain of salt.
