Sorry, no XP classes at the Challenges this year, unless we see a huge demand for it (More than 3 cars per event).

Great pictures Peaty! :disco:
The course was one of the best and fastest that Ive ever ran within my 3+ years of autoxing. I took 1st in SM and IIRC had the 4th or 5th fastest raw time. I owe a big thanks to Steve at Zzxyx for setting me up with some kick arse coilovers!

I was grabbing 3rd in Doug's STS 2.5 RS for that whole sweeper right after the slalom.
Deep in to 3rd.
Lot L courses see STi 3rd... only the Subaru Challenge courses seem to see 3rd in an STS RS. :p
Thanks for a great event Steve. 3rd in PAX for me WOOT!

no - boost is legal in SP (some rules still apply)
I think the LGT is in ESP with stock un-modded turbo..
please list mods and we'll help you out..
The big mods are larger turbo....FMIC....Brakes & suspension
well, you are in SM with the bigger turbo
FMIC technically removes the front bumper beam which would put you into a prepared class such as FP, most clubs typically allow the Subies with FMIC in SM though.
So I say it's safe to register in SM.

Signed up tonight but it will be only my third AutoX type event. If I happen to change mods/parts before the 16th will I be able to change classes or should I just postpone install? (I'm not sure how soon my DP will arrive so I'm assuming that will push me out of STX) Thanks in advance for the info
| makofoto | 08-17-2006 12:29 AM |
DP is OK for STX
| GeneralGrievous | 08-17-2006 10:44 AM |
Would I be able run Stg 2 after DP and still be STX or would that change once I use EM?
| bl_easy | 08-17-2006 10:51 AM |
What EM are you using? If it's AP, I believe that you can just load the STX map for the event to be legal
| jcroy66 | 08-17-2006 11:30 AM |
Note that a downpipe CAN be ok for STX, as long as you retain at least one cat in the system, no further back than 6" from the last factory cat (it can be as far forward as you want).
And Stage 2 implies boost changes (even Stage 1 involves boost changes). Changing boost is a huge no-no for STX.

Best way would be to find a local dealer interested enough to either put on a Subaru Challenge event themselves or work with SOA to help them put on an event. You can also use the link in the post above and let SOA know directly! :D
