17x8.5 5x100 50mm offset Volk TE37 bronze rims and Kumho v700 tires (235/40/17)
2 rims are in GREAT condition, 2 have curb rash. This is a race set, not a car show set.
Tires are pretty much down to the 2 center grooves and are still remarkably fast. They were run on a track for about 30 minutes total before I got them and I've been using them for auto-x since. They've never gotten hot since I've been using them due to cold weather during the races.
Gimme some offers...

Glad i found this thread. I doubt many subaru drag racers get on here but there is a chance. I am looking for drag wheels and tire set up. 15s or 16s I am willing to do some grinding on my front calipers if that is what it takes. Looking for anything light and fairly wide 8-9. Say some 16x8 slipstreams or some bogarts or some welds if anyone has some that will fit. Need to be a 5x100 bolt pattern and an offset that will not interfere. PM me if you have some.

$18,000 or make me an offer that isn't too insulting and we'll talk about it. It's got about 25 more miles on it now than it did at that time but now needs a new fender liner on the driver's side due to me being a dumbass pulling into the driveway like I would in the truck. I'll give it until the end of May before parting it out.

Rear Only.
By just doing the rear you can guarantee rear traction even with a wheel in the air. Amazing Grip.
My setup had short travel all around due to being lowered a bunch from stock, this was a must to eliminate inside wheel spin.

But like Pete says, with a proper clutch LSD, you get drive off the corner even with the constant Suby issue of the inside rear tire being light.

description:
Hoosier Sports Car D.O.T. Radial Wet tires were developed for drivers who participate in autocross and road racing events in moderate to heavy rain. While all Hoosier Sports Car D.O.T. Radial Wet tires have passed DOT requirements, they feature a special tread compound to facilitate racing in wet conditions. Due to this special compound, these tires are not suitable for highway use as the expected miles of wear is greatly reduced.
On the outside, the Sports Car D.O.T. Radial Wet tire features a tread compound proven during years of Motorola/Grand-Am Cup endurance racing. This wet weather compound is molded into a directional tread design and features unique "Y-shaped" major circumferential and lateral tread grooves. Through the initial portion of their life (between their beginning tread depth of 8/32-inch and approximately 4/32-inch of remaining tread depth), the walls of the tread grooves taper as the tires wear. Through the remainder of their tread depth (between 4/32-inch tread depth and worn out), the walls are molded vertically. This allows the tires to serve as full wet tires when used at their original 8/32-inch tread depth, or intermediate wet tires when shaved or worn to approximately 4/32-inch of remaining tread depth due to the reduced tread squirm and increased footprint contact area.
The Sports Car D.O.T. Radial Wet tires have a symmetric internal construction and directional tread design that allow them to be mounted for use on either side of the car. They feature a three-ply nylon cord radial carcass reinforced by two fiberglass belts and a spirally wound circumferential nylon cap ply under the tread.

I might have missed it, but how many miles are on this puppy? How is the clutch?

| JamesWilson | 05-20-2008 01:46 PM |
Clutch replaced about 30K miles ago, recent adjustment (cable) has improved the feel. Rolling over to 199K miles this week, but all maintenance and work has been completed...I wouldn't autocross the car as hard or drive is across the country as much as we have without keeping the maintenance up to date. Always synthetic engine oils and gearbox fluids (Motul 300V or Amsoil), used engine oil analysis from the lab to ensure the motor is healthy.
Won two National Tours (and one 2nd place) in '07, won 3 ProSolos same year, 2nd at ProSolo Finale (would have won the series but '07 had dropped their Points system), solid trophy at Solo Nationals. Also won the San Diego National Tour this March and was a close 2nd at the El Toro ProSolo (old tires, 3 drivers).
Great car, I drive it everyday 30 miles R/T, excellent A/C.

Hello everyone,
A poor local economy and a surprise new addition to our family has forced the sale of my 2006 Subaru STi. The car finished 1st and 2nd in STU at the 2007 Solo national championships. The car is in the same condition including a few improvements as it was then. I fully intended to return to defend the title but circumstances will prevent that. The car was originally purchased new in July of 2006. The car has only ~3500 actual miles on it and has been meticulously cared for.
Race results:
2007 SCCA Solo national Championships- 1st and 2nd place
2007 Packwood NT- 1st place in STU, 1st place in STUL
2007 Packwood Pro Solo- 1st and second place in STU, 3rd in super challenge
2006 Packwood Pro Solo- 1st place in STU
Aftermarket mods include:
-KW V3 coilovers w/custom rates. Pairs of KW progressive rears, 7k, 8k, 9k, 550# and 600# are included. I also have dyno plots from Jan, 2008. Whitline camber plates in front, OEM mounts in rear.
-(1) set of 17 x 9 Kosei k1ts wheels with 245-40-17 Advan AD07's. Wheels were painted gold and have the expected scratches from race wheels. Tires were newly shaved to 6/32's for nationals last year and have approx 3/32 left.
-Sway bars- Perrin front, Hotchkis rear. Hotchkis adjustable endlinks front and rear.
-Hawk HP+ pads front and rear
-Perrin cold air intake
-Perrin Turbo inlet hose.
-Perrin 2 piece downpipe. First pipe has 1 high flow cat. Second pipe was decatted. The car fully meets all emissions standards set in the "clarification".
-GReddy evo2 cat back exhaust.
-Oddessey pc680 lightwieght battery.
-Ecutek license with STU and stage2 maps tuned by Tim Bailey of Surgeline Tuning.
-Schroth rallye 4 harness (driver only)
Stock parts included are: struts, springs, sways and endlinks, intake, downpipe, second cat pipe, Gold BBS with new 245-40-17 Kumho SPT's. One wheel has minor curb rash.
Kelly Blue Book value is $26,300.
Looking for $29,500 race ready. Car is located in Portland, OR.
This car is ready to win in Topeka, just buy and drive.
Contact me at paulson98 at msn dot com with any questions
Thanks, James Paulson

Sexy car James, good luck!
My H-Stock Subie is potentially being picked up on Friday by a non-autocrosser with all of the parts removed...shame to have such a winning car leave the sport, and for so cheaply :(

Thanks James,
I'm hoping that my car will not suffer the same fate but I know it is unlikely.

FS: Canon camcorder and ChaseCam mount

Hello,
I am selling my in-car camera setup. It includes a Canon ZR500 camcorder and ChaseCam SM41 mount. Looking to get $200 for both. Nothing wrong with this combo (I have been using it for 3 seasons now) but I recently got a bullet camera setup and will be using that exclusively. Original FS thread can be found here.
Justin
PS - Someone buy this so I can put it towards buying James' STU STi above.
