upgrading my baby

hey before you all call me n00b and all that, i already learned alot from my local mechanic and stuff, so i'm down with whats going on.
My parents just got me a new 2004 WRX its blue and beeeatiful!! Okay so far i hate the stock rims on it tho, they're way too small ...
what's the largest size I can put on there??? My friend said it looks like 20" or maybe 21" would fit there... what do you think?? Chrome would look very nice with those spinning things but I dont have that much money yet so no chrome yet... :( its okay i'll be blinging as soon as i save up some months of allowance...

Just wondering, how'd you cut the springs you "Mad Gansta"? And why would you?! :confused: A set of spring is only $200 bucks or so. Far cheaper than the 20" rims your goning to rice up your car with before you drive it thru a house and cause MY insurance to go up! :furious:

Oh to be so young an silly......Dolt, Have you ever heard of SPRING RATE?! Do you know what cutting 3" off a spring dose to it? I'm sure your Home Boyz don't have a clue! Do you have dampers (that's shocks for you less educated Gangstaz) that will control the springs now that you've cut them and sent the rate thru the roof?
Do you have any idea what you've done to the suspension geometry by lowering the car that much? Am I gonna flame you? You bet! AND I'M NOT ALONE! Advice: do a little research before you post these things. Better advice: Drive with 2 plug wires pulled off so you don't kill someone.

OK let me try this. You want serious advice. I will give it to you. get an aftermarket upipe or have you BOI gut the stock one out. That will give your turbo quicker spool up. Get a downpipe, Invidia, and helix are pretty good. Those run about $300 shipped. Then get a cat back exhaust. Greddy, HKS, Espelir. $500 to $800 shipped. That will help your car breath better. Get some 17 inch wheels or 18 to help you handle. Get some Tein Springs, prodrive or H&R just to name a few. There, simple upgrades and if your serious that should give you some decent performance. This is the poorest attempt at a joke I have ever seen. The guy on the IS300 forum was funny when he posted about armor-alling his [i]entire[/i] tire and then crashing his car in the rain. The guy on the Audi forum was wicked funny when he had his 'buddy' port and polish his heads by pouring sand in his intake with the engine running. And who can forget the VWVortex 'balloon over the fuel line' thread. That one took the cake.
