What is the point of these pieces? I mean i can understand the rear diffuser, but those pieces just seem like they add weight and are mostly cosmetic.

Did you read the thread? Many are reporting a mileage increase and a stability improvement using these. Normally I would not believe it, but when BIGSKYWRX comments on it, you know you're getting the opinion of an expert. :)

ever wonder why the bottom's of high performance cars (like slr mclaren's and such) have all flat bottoms? it reduces drag, and helps increase downforce.
