I replied to the feedback there....I asked them to add more WRC and ProRally coverage or programs. I mentioned that many people are interested in the purest form of motorsport :)

Well, thats how ESPN started out.
Its all about having a large enough market out there. ESPN saw an exploding sports market, so they introduced "ESPN Classic, ESPN in Spanish, etc" to cater to it.
As long as there is a *big* group of people out there who want something, TV channels will provide it, because that's how they make their money. Leaving feedback is one way of letting those TV channels know how *big* oru particular group is.
Carry on!!! We may have surpassed the 200 mark!! :disco:

I believe more subarus are sold in NH than any other state...Whats their excuse?

Very true about ESPN. Man would I love to get ESPN Deportes (all soccer, all the time).
But Speed Channel will always be a niche, because there just aren't that many people interested in motorsports, as a percentage of the population. The highest rating ever garnered by an F1 broadcast, was smaller than the numbers that ESPN gets by accident.
Further, cable is an odd little beast. Networks make money based on ad revenues, which are tied to viewership numbers. The more people that watch a show (presuming it isn't hitting an extremely desired demographic), the more money they can charge. That's why the Super Bowl gets staggering per-minute dollar amounts for its ad blocks.
Cable, however, is different. Some channels are "go-withs." That is, they are started by another channel with actual clout, and carried in exchange for, say, a discount on the major channel. Others, such as HBO, charge a LOT for the privelege of being carried. Still others actually pay (vs. charging) to get on a cable lineup. We don't know which Speed Channel is, but based on its being part of the Fox family, and what happened to its subscriber numbers not too long after it was acquired, I'd bet it's verging on something of a "go-with," but not fully. Suddenly, Speed has a sugar daddy.
So the odds of Speed sprouting tentacles is nonexistent. Continue to make your voices heard, but don't forget to speak even more eloquently by watching your favorite programming, whenever it's on. If you have digital cable, or some sort of digital video recorder (TiVO, Replay TV), what you watch, in some systems, can be registered.

Feedback Posted.
Told 'em more WRC and rally racing in general.
edit: just got a response:
SPEED continues its coverage of the World Rally series once the new season
begins later this month.
Not exactly a response to the feedback I posted on their form requesting more frequent programming (more than twice a month), but I guess its better than nothing.

I just setup Monte to record on my TiVo and noticed that we are getting 1.5 hours of coverage now according to the TiVo's schedule. Is this true or could it be a typo? It didn't have the Rally Magazine either, just 1.5 hrs of rally.

Whooooah- what the hey?!?
I wrote in and bitched a coupla days ago (and left NASCRAP out of it, although I mighta mentioned I can only watch the same episode of B-J Car Search so many times, LOL).
I noticed at that time, the 8 PM showing (Pac time) was one hour, but the midnight showing was 90 minutes...
Nice to see them increasing it, whatever the reason.
