Petter "Phil is my wife in the car..... No sex"

Sorry to be a bit of a spoiler. I just had a little beer come out of my nose when I heard that. (Personal Problem I know  )

Yeah.. he seems to be taking pointers from Marcus. :) I forget if this was in the Mexico rally or in the Discovery show.. "We have changed things and the car is much better now." "What did you change?" "I don't tell you!"
Butt Dyno 03-22-2007 11:21 PM

This is a little hard to watch :(
amukaoen 03-23-2007 12:31 AM

wish they would have run this show during the 03 WRC season

Yeah... A documentary of Petter's worst season. The "insider" views of the cars, trailers, tires, retc are fantastic. But it's very hard to watch things break and luck go sour.
subby28 03-24-2007 10:26 PM

the first episode is no more available on subaru-impreza.de

spend $5.00 and download tons of rally content from Stanis and Shacki with reliable high speed connections.

It's amazing what people will spend money on. You'll drop $10.00 for a movie ticket to be entertained for 2 hours, but not $5.00 on a website to download maybe 10 hours of entertainment and content????

I'm using Azureus on the mac. Seemed to download pretty quickly.
I'm seeding them now so that's 1 more person to download from.

Thanks for posting these darknight, psychopat et al.

edit - and thanks chairmandave for finding this.

Azerus or Transmission are both good torrent clients on apples.

Nice program; pity they chose to film Subaru's worst season in tirteen years. I wonder if they get into what was causing all the problems with the car. I heard most of the problems came from difs that couldn't be altered because of homologation rules.

I laugh at people with TiVo. Modded Xbox connected to TV can stream media that I have downloaded onto my computer over the network. Before that I used the S-video trick too.

The only guy I know of uploading the show is currently on vacation:

**PLEASE NOTE, THE NEXT 2 EPISODES WILL BE UPLOADED @ EASTER, AS I'M OFF DOWNUNDER ON ME HOLIDAYS!**

I have a home brew PVR (run freeware GB-PVR). It works great, but the cost for an HD PVR is worth it IMO. I will get one later in the year. I cant see a PC doing as clean of a job, and making it work without too much hassle, given my experience with this setup I have now.
chimchimm5 03-29-2007 03:45 AM

I downloaded episode 3 on the subaru-impreza.de website, but cant get the sound to work. It has worked fine on the torrents though. Any suggestions?

vaj 03-29-2007 05:38 PM

WOW... I didn't realize how spoiled we were with the torrent quality from demonoid... Hdish FTW

I'm very, very happy to watch this copy but as soon as the torrent comes up again I'll dump this file for that.
Tyrus3 03-29-2007 07:06 PM

Epsiode 3 torrent: (you have to register but it's worth it; great content on the site)

http://www.racing-underground.com/index.ru?cls=5&id=2015&view=1

it's a .mkv file though, not .avi, not sure on quality since I just started downloading.
culturedetox 03-29-2007 07:23 PM

MKVs are a container file, maybe with a divx video stream and some kind of compressed audio. VLC has no problems playing them.
Tyrus3 03-29-2007 07:25 PM

^ Yeah I know, I always use VLC.

Finished the download, gotta love private trackers! It's .avi quality at 1440x900 resolution IMO.

this isn't working for me because it keeps thinking my IP address already downloaded too much.

I'm willing to pay for access, but their web page keeps opening FIXED size windows which don't have scroll bars so I can never reach that part of the page. And that's on 1600x1200 resolution. I dunno if it's a "US" browser incompatibility or what. I tried IE and Firefox.

this sucks.
heet 03-29-2007 10:19 PM

Can someone seed this themselves? I don't want to register for some site I know nothing about.

KRL 03-30-2007 03:09 PM

Wow. Another excellent episode with the letting go of a few heads including The Boss.

What I fail still do not understand is if Loeb goes with wet tires, why does Petter choose to go with dry tires? Is it because he thinks/hopes that Loeb is going to be wrong? How many times has Loeb been wrong this past two years? Why not just go with what Loeb does and challenge him based on the capability of the car and driver? Isn't that a given?

What do I know - I should definitely stick with my day job..
drees 03-30-2007 03:18 PM

You should also definitely avoid giving away spoilers.
You should also definitely avoid giving away spoilers.
Dude. This show details the 2006 WRC calendar. Spoiled to whom?

I can understand you, on one hand; but on the other, it's hard to imagine who would be unaware of what transpired last year to SWRT.
vaj 03-30-2007 04:00 PM

Well at least last year Petter couldn't really use the same tires as Loeb due to the small difficulty of having different manufacturers.. That being said I think they were willing to try anything different in hopes of catching the front runners. As far as type of tire (wet, dry, intermediates) you've got a good point.

Okay, I managed to download a file that I was then able to put into Azureus to download the actual video content of the torrent for episode 1... but I have no idea how I did that and can't seem to replicate it for episode 2.

I've tried putting the address of the episode 2 torrent into azureus and it wont work, and I've tried downloading the torrent from demonoid but it keeps giving me that error message.

It's all about getting that extra edge. There's pretty much always a safe choice and a fast choice. The guy in front usually has the luxury of taking the safe choice. Besides, Pirelli is a completly different type of tire. You can't exactly compare them apples to apples.

That said, you're probably right to some extent. Subaru had enough to worry about last year without having tire problems. They might have done well to consider a more conservative approach. Not that that really would've mattered that much in the long run.

click this link to get to the demonoid page...

http://www.demonoid.com/files/details/1073941/775222/

hit "click here to download"...you may get the 3 downloads error in which case you may want to register.

When it asks what you want to do with the file, "save to disk".

That will be the file with the .torrent extension

Go to Azureus...under menu - File > Open > torrrent file...

at the top of the popup, click "add file" and navigate to where you saved the .torrent file

Once Azureus downloads it, the .avi files will be in the folder that you specify in the above popup.

I hope the quality is decent, seeing this is a different source.

I get the same error, I'm not registered on demonoid either. I got episode 1 and 2 from there and then episode 3 from the racing underground link. (which I did register for)

There's a link on how to get around the download limitation on page 2 of this thread, iirc, maybe p3. (edit : ^ on page)

Just saw your 'old torrent' comment. not sure about that.

I think the demonoid server is being taxed.

"Server Busy" errors while trying to navigate the site.
