Please help* Installing New Altezza lights
Hi!
I am wondering if anyone has installed Altezza lights on their WRX 02 and if they can provide me with some information on how to do so.
Any information is appreciated.

There is a very big chance that 99.99% of the WRX owners on this board have not purchased the Altezza lights for their cars because most people here are totally against putting them on a Subaru.
They shouldn't be too hard though...just take the bolts out from inside the trunk, unplug the harnesses, attach harnesses to Altezzas, and put everything back together again. Simple!
I know I am gonna get a verbal beat-down for even posting in this thread.
P.S. I don't like Altezzas!

eBay has a couple sets floating around. I think they are going for about $200-$240, somewhere in that range. Hope this helps.

that being said, if it anything like the RS....ppull back the lining of the trunk, use the quick connect to remove the light harness.....remove the screws....MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE ALL OF THEM.....the RS had one on the far side of the light and i almost tore out my rear fender....the rs had 5 i dont know about the rex, but make sure you check for all of them.....you might also need some silicone sealant after the process to avoid flooding your trunk......just seal around the edges of the lights and set them in place...

Altezza Lights installed
Installation was extremely simple.
They fit well and look pretty sharp.
As far as how they hold up, I will let you know if I run across any issues.
I got mine off of Ebay from TokyoHighway.com or something.

I only think these lights would loook ok if they didnt have that chrome(shiny background). Rather maybe a black backing.

ONLY WAY altezza style light would look good on our car, is if all that fake ass shiny chrome part would be replaced with matching body color...that would look better...

They should install the same as regular tail lights. Remove the trim piece on the inside of the trunk to expose the back of the tail light. You should be able to see all of the bolts you have to take out.

in an attempt to make peace with the devil incarnate itself, Altezza's:
I haven't seen a Morrette tail light or the Skyline GTR style lights of the simple two slantedly adjacent (I hope some of that made sense) bulbs and the surrounding, what should be plastic, is seemingly bodypaneling or just ABS painted to match and smoothed out to match the body.
Make any sense? If not I'll try it again...

These are kinda like inhancements to the stock lights, I'd pick them up if I wanted new tail lights. Ebay has a bunch of these for aution, anyone who wants them should check it out....

The lights from JLEE27's post I like. Those are teh ones that I saw on some UK forum a while back and I likes them cuz they look just like the stock WRX lights, but are jewelled. Not too facy, but not too boring.

OK, stooopid question, but, what would make these lights "Euro"? I mean after all, MOST new cars have those type `o lights (the jewell-type), and this is really the first time i've heard them called "euro".

Pics of Black Chromes?
No offense to those who have the regular Altezzas or like 'em, but IMHO, they seem kind of out of place on the WRX--especially in the pics of the WRB car.
On the other hand, the "black chrome" versions look nice. [COLOR=red]Does anyone have pics of the black chrome Altezzas installed on a WRX?--preferably WRB color[/COLOR]

PLEASEsomeone do aquik photoshop of those 2pics to like ablack or or maybe just try all the stock colors as some of ya it would take a few minutes..
